The first word that comes to mind is sturdy! The second, space-saving. While I was in the market for a wooden daybed with trundle, this metal version fit the trick. The price was what made the sale. For a small room and need to sleep 2 young boys, I couldnt find anything better unless I got bunks. Safety concerns led me to opt for a daybed. The paint texture is reminiscent of antiqued furniture and not a stark white. More of a soft white, really. It goes together easily, even with only one person assembling. The part that took the most time was clipping on the stabilizers and rail clips. Both are nifty little plastic clips that keep the metal rails perfectly spaced and locked tight. The rails are also metal and there is an abundance of them! No measly 6-8 rails. No, this thing can withstand some weight AND holds up to rambunctious youth. I have an 8 mattress on each part, daybed and trundle, and the trundle nestles in underneath without any concern. Not many twin frames or daybeds will have that kind of height. My only suggested fix would be rounding the corners of the (included) trundle framing. Those can cause pain to feet that bump into them. Ouch! I added a bit or padding to avoid that from happening again. I only gave 4 stars due to some minor imperfections in the paint, but would give it 4 1/2 stars if that were an option. Overall, a great daybed/trundle set!
I bought this for my daughter. She seems pretty happy with it. It was fairly easy to put together, but did take me longer than other reviewers posted. I guess Im not very savvy when it comes to putting furniture together.
Overall, Im very satisfied with this bed!
I liked this bed a lot. I set it up with my dad in about 2 hours. The directions are not super clear but it really is common sense and there arent many pieces to have to figure out. This bed came a week before the estimated arrival date and the UPS man brought it up to the apartment on the third floor. Great service. However, the bed is a bit shaky. Not recommended for full time use, just as a guest bed.
LOVE THIS DAYBED! I ordered it ( $100 cheaper than Kmart!) for my back room. partially disabled its now more convenient for me to sleep in my back tv/comp room than climbing stairs -- I wasnt sure how much weight it would hold but lets say between me, the mattress and sometimes 2 dogs, way over 300 ! it is very study, nothing cheap in this product. I love the trundle, not only for my dogs to sleep on next to me, but my older girl uses it to hop up onto the high daybed! def. recommend this one for anyone wanting a nice looking sturdy product!
Beautiful piece of furniture. Very easy to assemble. Love the idea, with lots of pillows, we can use it as a couch and then when the grandchildren come...beds for them in a snap!
The trundle bed we purchased is great! We had grandchildren here this last week and the trundle worked great. They had more space in their bedroom. Very sturdy, assembly was easy, and delivery was quick.
For the price, this bed is a great value. Its sturdier than I thought it would be, assembled easily and looks pretty good. Not sure I would recommend this for someone over 125 lbs or so. It works perfect for my 6 year old though and at under $200 for the bed and trundle, you cant beat that with a stick.
Fairly easy to assembly. My husband and I were able to put it together in just over a half hour. The frame can be a bit squeaky if you tend to toss and turn in your sleep, but overall, it was a great addition to the guest room. Very cute for a great price.
Everything was great are only complaint was that there were sharp pieces of machine scrap inside the bed frame pieces. Our daughter cut herself when she was helping her dad put the bed together.
