I’ve always had the hard plastic cat carriers with a metal gate at one end. However, I have one cat that is carrier adverse, and very hard to get into the carrier. So I went looking for a top or side entry carrier. I bought this one, one for each cat, and haven’t been displeased with the purchase or the function. I am able to drop my cat down into the top of the carrier, instead of shoving her into the other type. The zippers are substantial and have a locking mechanism. They are light weight. There are mechanisms for stiffening the fabric form to make it more sturdy when the cat is inside. there is some give because of the fabric that is not present in the hard plastic carriers. But you are also able to collapse the carrier for storage that you can’t do with the hard plastic ones. Would buy again if necessary.
Our 3.8 lb Yorkie sleeps in a small crate at night. She out grew the one we had used so we got this one. It is perfect. She loves to go to bed at night and climbs right in. It is well made and we ordered a second one for our new Yorkie we are getting in Oct.
The mesh sides and top, and the fact that it opens fully on the top and on one side make it a comfortable design for your dog, and one that’s useful too. Durability: so far so good. Will see with time, but the quality of the build seems reasonable.
Excellent air flow, quality zippers, lightweight (before animal loaded). Easy to assemble from the collapsed position - adding the stabilizing framework. I bought the large size based on my large cats. Strictly used for trips to the vet for all 3 cats, no airline travel.

The perfect pet carrier
I love the way I was able to connect the seatbelt for security while traveling in the car.
Cat loves it.
My cat hates hard carriers. Even after going to the vet he hangs out in this thing... And he was angry at the vet. He is 17lbs and fits great in it.
This is perfect for a small dog or cat

ZIPPER FLIMSY
The bag is cute, however, the zipper is very flimsy and my dog can easily nestle it open with her nose.
Definitely very small
12-15lb dog doesn’t fit in this

Quality
I’ve had many a cat carrier but by far this has been the best. Roomy and sturdy and well made with plenty of airflow!!
Great quality.
