Im a polymer engineer used to running some high level technical equipment and def took more than 2 hours to assemble unless u literally move non stop and have everything set up ready to go. Its definently a cool design and glad I made the purchase.
With this bed, you get a lot for the money! A daybed with trundle, 2 large drawers, and the ability to use a fold/in/half king/size mattress (8 thick when single twin, 4 thick when expanded out as a king size). We saw a bed like this on IKEAs website when we were researching daybeds, but the shipping on that IKEA bed was literally more than the bed (400 or something). Then we found this bed, which is nearly the same design.
Construction wasnt too hard. If you have a little experience and proper power tools, its easy. If you have no experience, you can still do it. I think I saw only a 2.7 star review for ease of assembly, which seems unfairly low. The instructions are clear and they have indicators to help you orient the pieces correctly as long as youre careful.
The only knocks against the bed I have are:
1) The rails are a little low. Using an 8 mattress, normal sized pillows almost spill over the rail. My daughter mostly sits on it like a couch and the back is against a wall, so its not a problem for her. But realize that thicker mattresses and more layers of bedding with larger pillows would likely spill over the rails pretty easily if there isnt a wall to stop it.
2) Drawers have no sliding surface help them slide easier / its just wood on wood. Eventually, this wood on wood will probably become slicker and slide more easily, but initially there is a decent amount of friction. I believe I could add a cheap solution, but it seems like the bed should have came with something to aid in this area.
3) Wood from Bril. This might weigh on your conscience if you pay attention to the massive deforestation happening at the hands of both man and nature, or if you just care for the well being and long/term survival of humans in general. If Id have known this before purchasing, I might not have. Logging can be done responsibly, but Bril is not even close to doing it and are very likely accelerating the extinction of life on Earth.

Other than those small issues, Im happy with the bed.
The bed was missing directions. I was able to search for them online but the piece labels did not match up to what was in the directions. It was pretty confusing process of trial error.
This is a wonderful bed for the price. We bought the daybed and it is a great price fit for our guest room/Office. My husband and I put it together super fast and easy. We are very happy with it. Only problem was we had a mattress that was bought for another bed we ended up not getting. I just wish we wouldnt have bought a mattress that was so thick because it really does not show the sides of the bed. When we buy the mattress for the trundle we will make sure to by a thinner mattress. Its still a great bed though.
We all love this daybed in our home. Infact my kids always compete for their chance to sleep on this day bed. Assembly was pretty easy and I had my son help me put this together. We put this together in about 1 hour. We got the Grey color and it looks very sleek, elegant. At the same it is very functional and good sized. Only suggestion to other buyers would be to put atleast 8 inch mattress, to ensure the hardware at the back is covered. Sturdiness looks to be fine for now, but again we have had it only for 2 monthsWill update my review in 6 months time.

I am not very happy with the product. Its not sturdy. One of the drawers broke the first week and cant be replaced unless we replace the whole bed. Product seems to be deficient/ no response back from the seller! Not happy!
The turquoise color is just blue. Bright blue. Its a nice color but not what I expected and the package was insanely heavy and unwieldy so I wouldnt have been able to return it. Would have ordered the white had I know the color was so off on the turquoise.

wheels are not good. we had to buy new better wheel to fix the ones that came with the bed.
