You need to be good at DIY!

Im not good at DIY, so this was a challenge for me - still is, as the drawer is sitting on the floor because I cant get it aligned with the tracks! Still, its study for a macbook or iMac and printer, but its the organization that is the best feature.

    Excellent Desk, but severely overpriced

I bought this product because I needed a larger corner desk to work from home, and unfortunately the corner desk options at IKEA are quite limited. In terms of the size and appearance, this desk is great - it has a fair amount of storage space, looks nice, and despite what a lot of the other comments say, it is not very difficult to assemble. The problem is the quality of the material in relation to the price. The wood used for the pieces is obviously very cheap, and the way the pieces are prepared and packaged for delivery is quite poor as well. On the main board, the holes into which wooden pegs go were drilled too deep, and when I put the pegs in they immediately broke through into the top of the board because of how flimsy the wood is. In addition, that board and several other pieces had deep scratches on them. I requested that these parts be replaced, and they sent replacements within a week - but the replacements were damaged too! The replacement main board has a small piece missing from the bottom corner (fortunately it is not easy to see it from the top, so I wont ask for a THIRD replacement) and small scratches in some areas. The product cost me over $430 (Canadian) and took 5 weeks to ship - for that price and wait time I really expected a higher quality desk. Considering the quality of the wood and the tendency for the pieces to be damaged, I would say this desk is worth, at most, between $250-300. Because of how overpriced it is, I cannot realistically recommend this desk (or the store) to other buyers.

    Shipping and putting together

I received this desk in a huge amount of bubble wrap (it was also quite filthy...) and yet it still had many scratches and dents. The plastic white laminate in the top chips very easily. It was also very laborious to put together. While they do give you an Allen wrench, you still need a small screw driver for several of the screws. I also had a really hard time putting in the slides for the drawer because the directions weren’t sufficient enough. I’m obviously keeping the desk because it’s for work and would be a pain to put back in the box and send back, but overall I would not particularly recommend this product. It is also very small and short... so if you are a taller or larger person, it just wouldn’t work.

    Pretty sturdy no instructions included

Arrived fairly fast, quality is decent for the price, however they forgot to include the assembly instructions in the packaging and the 24/7 live-chat on their website seems to be more of an email response request than actual live chat. I pretty much put it together based on the picture on this store page.

Its so-so for being on the low-low

This desk does work well for me, but after using it for a month or so I can tell its on the cheaper side. It has great storage options and you can change what side the higher elevated shelf can go on which is nice! This set up is a close distance to my washer and dryer and whenever that is running the whole desk shakes and vibrates a lot because its lightweight. The price is fair all things considered and a good value. I would say a teenager or early adult would benefit the most from this

    Harder than expected to assemble

I know it sounds like a cliche, but it wasnt easy to assemble, Im not sure they included the right bolts (I swapped out some bolts that didnt fit), and Im pretty sure the assembly instructions are more or less backwards. That being said, it seems sturdy enough, doesnt block too much light from the window, and has plenty of room for my computer, files, plants, and other things.

    Assembly requires patience. Lol

Not going to lie I love this desk, its super badass and clean, I get alot of compliments on it...HOWEVER. This thing is a BITCH to put together lol. But for me, was worth it. If youve got the patience and theres atleast two or three of you then youll be fine. But I love my desk.

Count your parts before you start

I’m giving it 3 stars instead of 1… only reason is.. the support team was super helpful and was kind enough to assist me with my needs in the most painless way possible. Parts were missing… I was fed up, it was a a bad week and this didn’t help. But like I said they were super supportive and kind to make things up. It’s a beautiful piece… just didn’t have all the parts.

    Looks great!

I bought this desk for my office/craft room. Right out of the box, one of metal supports was bent. My husband beat the hell out of it and got it straight enough to work. It wasn’t super difficult to put together with 2 people, despite the fact that we put the rails for the drawer on backwards (the instructions weren’t super specific about this part. You have to separate each piece and put them back together at a later step). Overall I really like the desk. It’s sturdy and looks really pretty in my office. I’d buy it again!
