this product is cheaply made, and is very hard to use. Bought and the battery was no good, wouldnt hold a charge, tried using it 2 times couldnt, did get a replacement battery and ordered a second one for back up. I tried them out and they worked fine (except they wouldnt get a full charge). When I removed the battery from the scooter the bottom fell out. I called the company and was told they would get back to me by 4 pm that day, it is mondayeeni9ng now and still no reply. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE? I went to Ace and bought some screws and hopefully it will work. Cant wait to get a new one so i can trash this piece of junk, worst 700.00 i ever spent
My wife used her scout scooter at Disney World. In four days she traveled 29.6 miles. We charged the scooter at night and only at Animal kingdom did we have to charge the scooter for an hour. The code light begins flashing at about 6 miles indicating it needs to charge. Overall we are pleased with the scooter. I do wish we had acquired the 15 mile battery.
It is impractical to load this scooter in a vehicle for transport and too large for easy maneuverability in the home

I bought this for my wife.It performs extremely well.She has a Hoveround but wanted something smaller so I tried this one and she loves it.It is easy to use,load,and unload it. I can pick it up to load it into her car.We dont have to have anything extra attached to the car for hauling it.Buy this one if you need something that is easy to get around with.You will not be disappointed with this SFScout.
The scooter is very nice. It will not work on an uneven surface. I was on some wet leaves in the yard and it turned over on me. in the house or garage you van not go over any surface more than an inch or two high. they also dont tell you there is no return on a fuel driven item. this is a battery operated vehicle. No fuel. Im not in the habit of returning items, but at 700, I feel you should be able to return an unsatisfactory item.
In October, my best friend, Bob Smith, a Korean war vet of very modest means, bought this scooter. Bobs dimensions were 6 225 lbs. He discovered he could not fit his leg under the steering wheel on the scooter. He and his wife tried dozens of times. Other people on the page have complained there is no legroom (see photos) // including a woman 54. Look a the male model in the ad. He has to have his foot catty/corned to fit and the other foot is hanging off the side. Yet there is no mention of size constraints in the ad. In order to accept a return,
demanded it be re/boxed and customer pay return shipping plus a 205 restocking fee.
