The lip around the outside rubber is good for catching spilled water but makes it easier for your furry friend to move around. Overall a good product just not quite right for what I wanted.
I liked the non skid bottom and the ease of the bowls to come out for cleaning. The weight of the base made it difficult for the dog to move around / which is what he was doing previously and creating a mess. I also found that the tray around the bowls caught any of the mess from the puppy.
Its good if you have a small dog or puppy. The bowls are pretty small. We got it for a new pup we have but he will out grow it fast. Otherwise its a good set. The bowls come out of the tray for easy cleaning.

Bowls stay put
Keeps my floor clean with the provided mat. Bowls are easy to clean. I love the mat, it doesnt move, keeps bowls in place.
Dog bowls
These dog bowls keep the food water off the floor. They are great !

Holds up to all my puppys cry antics. She flips it, chews on it and carrys the bowls out to me just in case I want to fill them up again.

Bowl size
Only thing preventing me to give it 5 stars are the bowls sizes. They could be a bit bigger. Other than that it was a good purchase.
