Not impenetrable, but effective in the house

This is a well/constructed safe that, so far, seems to work as you would expect. All of the important parts are made of metal, which includes the body of the safe and the door hinges. The metal is thin, but it is sturdy enough to require power tools to compromise. For most people who just want a safe to keep their guns out of the reach of their children or other family, then this will work. Of course, someone with enough determination and the right tools could easily cut through even just the body of the safesay with an angle grinderpretty easily. But, if what you want is something that requires either a key, code, or brute force to access, then this will work. Set/up was very simple, and I appreciated the abbreviated manual that comes with the safe. It isnt filled up with too much fluff, but it covers all the bases. Features/wise, I like the included door organizer, and the embedded locked cabinet, plus shelf. The safe is tall enough to fit my 338 lapua ruger precision rifle and my surprisingly long 17/caliber pellet rifle no problem. The only thing I had to modify was the foam support frame/bracket. The height is not adjustable on that bracket, so I could not elevate it to cradle my barrels. Instead, it lands right at the handguard of the rifles. I did some cutting, and it kinda works. Its not like the safe moves around anyway, so its fine. Another cool thing is that the keys and locks are serialized. The manual prompts you to write down those numbers in case you lose the keys. Its nice to know that they company has a process for reissuing new matching keys. This review isnt comparing this safe to other 400/ish safes as I cant speak to whether for this price you are getting more or less for your money. But, if your shopping has landed you here, and you are considering this safe against other safes, my experience with it is that it works. I was able to request and get this safe for free from Vine, and it is definitely the type of safe I was looking for to spend my own money on. I had been slow to buy something since safes are expensive, and I already had a couple of hard locking cases. When I saw this, I hoped it would fit the bill, and I am glad to report that it does.

    damage from shipping

small dent in the side. Likely caused by the shipping. Otherwise the cabinet is in decent shape and quality. Note, this provides some protection but it is not a safe and is not fire rated. In our State we now have to keep all firearms in a secure fashion when not in use, so this fulfills that requirement. Update: The manufacture sent me an email saying they would compensate me for the damage likely caused by . They did refund 50.00 for the damage. I was not expecting that, thanks.

It is ok but hard to say it is safe

More likely it is a gun cabinet. Metal is so thin and i think you can just open it with screw driver

Affordable, easy to set up, good value.

Good value for the money. Easy install/setup. I have a 51 inch shotgun, and most comparable safes only allow for about 48 length guns or lower unless you remove the storage shelf. This one has a slightly narrower lockbox that allows for one extra long gun, so I can keep my shotgun secured and still have a locking storage space for ammo or anything else. Only issue I had was it did get a little dent in transit, but it wasnt bad enough for me to want to send it back or anything, and its hardly noticeable as it was a back corner. Not a big deal to me, but could be to someone else. I knew I wasnt buying a 2k safe and managed my expectations accordingly.

    Slim but functional

We have a much larger gun safe in our bedroom, but it is so large (and full) that we have a hard time getting to it when we need to. It is only opened with a key, and we find that it takes us longer to get our loaded weapons out when we need them in a hurry. We live in a rural area with lots of poisonous snakes so it is beneficial to our family and pets to access our guns, as needed. This new safe is slim enough to put it against the wall in our dining room, and though it has keys, it also has a key input so you do not have to run for your keys. We have not had to put new batteries in it since we have had it, and setting up the passcode was easy to do using the instructions provided. It does not hold a lot, but we are able to put our go/to arsenals in this safe. It has a small shelf up top that we keep our ammo in. I would highly recommend this product based on its quality, easy access, and value.

The safe is very sturdy and well built

The safe arrived here in Hawaii two days earlier than was expected, excellent shape and condition, Im impressed with the sturdiness and size of this safe, makes it so nice to have guns, etc upstairs and under a great lock for when it needs to be locked. The lock system is as secure as it can be and I love the small pistol safe and the organization in the inside. Im very happy with everything and it is better than expected

    nice safe

nice safe you can use either keys or keypad havent setup keypad yet my only complaint is its very thin so wont protect against fire well or someone cutting open but better then a locker or cabinet

    Simple

This is a clean, simple, basic and secure safe. I suggest bolting it down as it isnt that heavy. If you need basic or extra gun storage this safe gets it done.

    Small but Sturdy safe

I wanted something smaller that I could move without calling in a loving company. Its the perfect size and not too big.
