Bought a dorm size bed for our toddler hoping it will be his last bed and gives us room for the nights we fall asleep with him. I love falling asleep in his bed. A bit firm with just a little give. We might buy a hybrid mattress next for our room.
Im a hurricane Ian refugee, brought this mattress to sleep on while waiting for FEMA to assess my damage claim it is sleepable but not as firm as one might like, I weigh 215 pounds and when I lay on this mattress it goes from10 inches to about 8 inches
We got this bed so our toddler would stop coming in our bed in the middle of the night. And with the hopes that if we needed to sleep in his bed with him while he adjust, that one of us could easily fit to snuggle him. I find it easy to fall asleep on his mattress. Almost too easy. It expanded rather fast. I didnt notice a smell at all. Love this bed!
I dont often sit down and write a product review but I thought I would after purchasing and experiencing this mattress. First off the shipment. I believe I was told after ordering it was going to take about a week for me to receive this mattress but it shipped through UPS and arrived on my porch in half the time. I ordered the 10/inch mattress so a decent size box, around 37 pounds, to haul in. It is a good thing I had my adult daughter to help me bring it in as theres really no place to grab hold with your hands so you cant really drag it in, you have to carry it. By myself, given I have steps, I would have had to use a hand dolly.
The packaging. How they got this big of a mattress in that box, again pretty decent size, seems like something out of science fiction. It comes rolled up and sealed in a thick plastic wrap. Now a few things once you get the mattress out of the boc. you want to have a really good pair of scissors or knife to cut through the plastic. Also you want to do this in a room with plenty of space. If youre going to do this on the bed frame make sure you have space around the frame. And it doesnt hurt to have a helper but you can do it solo. This particular mattress is a combination of various memory gel/foams and springs so as you free it from the plastic it will WANT to unroll and do so fast. This is where having an additional set of hands works in your favor.
So once the mattress is freed from the plastic and in its unrolled state to me its pretty much ready to go. i read some reviews about giving it 24/48 hours to let it achieve its full form but this model seemed ready to go to sleep on immediately.
Now the quality. I havent slept good for years. I had a lousy mattress over the last decade that I tried memory foam toppers on and still never got a restful sleep. Often Id wake up feeling tired, my back tight, shoulders stiff and starting the day off on the wrong foot. After a week on this mattress I find Im relaxing a lot more. Im not feeling as tense. my joings, especially my shoulders, are feeling a lot looser. My backs not tight. I wake up feeling way more relaxed and refreshed than I had been.
So for me, based on the cost, the shipping, the packaging, the sleep quality, Im giving this mattress five stars. Its a high quality mattress for a great price that you will not be disappointed with.
Supportive and comfortable mattress. I got this to use on my daughters bunkbed and it is a surprisingly comfortable mattress for the price. In comparison, most other mattresses I have found for the same price range are cheap all foam mattresses. This one is nicely made, with inner springs and a padded top.
