Perfect Loft Bed for 2 Year Old

Just like other reviewers have said, this bed does take about 4 hours to put together. There are some parts where youll definitely need a second set of hands, but overall its not hard at all. I bought this bed for my 2 year old son. He loves itI felt that the steps would be safer for a boy his age, so thats why we chose this bed instead of the one with a ladder. We also have a 6 inch memory foam twin mattress on the floor underneath the loft bed for our younger son. This set up works perfectly for us. The boys also enjoy hanging a sheet off the side to make this into a fort.

I love this bed and so does my son

I love this bed and so does my sonIt saves space in a smaller size bedroom as he has a bean bag underneath and uses it to play toys. The bed was a little difficult to assemble but we eventually figured it out.

    Simple to assemble; sturdy product

After reading reviews stating that pieces were missing from the package and/or the assembly of the product was difficult, I was happy to find that was not the case with our purchases (we bought two). Not only were all the pieces properly marked (which made assembly fairly simple) they were also all accounted for. Sure, the time to assemble per bed was pretty lengthy. But when you have to build something from virtually nothing, it will take time. That being said, the beds are very sturdy and I am very happy with the purchase.

Wish there was a quicker way.

Took so long to put together. Some of the pieces didnt seem to fit well, but I managed. Had blisters after. So many parts. My daughter, who just turned two three months ago, LOVES this bed. We had a very easy transition to it from her crib. Bit of advice, get help when putting it together, it took me almost five hours by myself, and use a toddler rail if youre paranoid like I am.

Overall this is a good bed. My big complaint is there was no instructions in the box. I found them online though. I bought the bed for my nephew for when he stays over and he loves it.

    Battle of the Five Screwdrivers

Okay, let me share some things about this bed. Yes, it is a freaking JOB building it. Nothing comes assembled. Nothing. Its all in a billion pieces. And some of those pieces just werent designed well. That said, I do love the end result. There was one defect that I strongarmed my way around, and one that couldnt be helped but wasnt a safely hard, and the result is a very sturdy bed my son loves. But I have to make it three stars just because of the horrible, horrible way that it was designed to be put together. There are so many little steps that could have been avoided. Nobody would have minded a slightly larger box if they didnt have to do all this crap. The thing is too, my son has a normal twin bed from Sleepys, but there is about a 1.5 inch gap on the sides when his bed is in it. I dont care. Makes it easy to make the bed, in my opinion. But its still, technically, an error. Give yourself a day to put this together. That way you can take multiple breaks to avoid murdering anybody. I started at 10:30, took a break at 12, started again at 1, took a break at 2:30, and started again at 4 to be finished at 5. So, about four hours total for one person who is, excuse me for saying, fairly good at following directions and putting these things together. Its not DIFFICULT, its just monotonous. Like, if I see another screw anytime soon Ill throw this bed frame at your head, kind of monotonous. And a word to the wise. Do not tighten ANYTHING until you are done with EVERYTHING. It may seem annoying to do, but trust me, unscrewing something that you tightened an hour earlier so you can fit that one thing into that other thing is much more annoying. I read that somebody had a spot where the hole didnt line up, and this happened to me too. It was nearly an inch off. I had to loosen everything to get it even CLOSE, and thats when I had to strongarm it, like I mentioned before. Brute force, baby. Which, really, shouldnt have been necessary. But at least I got it to fit. Eventually. Someone else said that this bed would be staying at their old house if they ever had to move. Ditto. This thing will never be coming apart, ever. The next house owners can deal with it. End word? My kid loves it, its sturdy, and I love the way it looks. If it had cost half the price, I would give it five stars and say it was worth the money. But I paid nearly 200 for a bed that could have been arrested for manslaughter, it made me that murderous. I think for 200 it should be slightly easier to deal with.
