I think the piece of furniture is really well done for the price. My only complaint is the black under covering craftsmanship is really shoddy work, I had to trim the Velcro in 6 or 7 spots so you wouldnt see it from above.
This is a very nice looking bench. It has a shabby chic/elegant look. The color is definitely light and the frame and legs are tannish with a gle and this gives it a very easy look which I think fits in with all different kinds of furniture. I like light pieces here and there to lighten up a room. As far as sturdy, I am petite and my husband is not big either and we wont sit on it. We use it to hold our shams and ative pillows when I take the the comforter down at night. Its fine for our purpose but I dont think it would hold up if a heavy or very big person uses it consistently for sitting. If you are looking for a light colored with upholstery and inexpensive to boot then buy it. I am so glad I did!
