I had purchased an older variation of this product in November 2019 for my son. It is a twin XL bed frame with net height of 14 (or 12 clearance for storage underneath). There were no predrilled holes for a , otherwise everything else is the same from what I can see on updated photos and description. My son is 5 10 tall and weighs in the neighborhood of just under 250. Though there was a new mattress as well, he never again complained of the bed crea or feeling like the frame was about to collapse underneath him every time he moved or rolled around in bed. The are of good quality. My only complaint is that I have 6 rectangular indentations in my Berber carpeting, expected though.
I am now loo for another bed frame for another son, so I looked back upon my previous purchase on and will probably purchase an updated version of this bed frame. Since my prior purchase was nearly 2 years ago, and have withstood the test of time, I decided to go ahead and write a review now.
Took about a hour to put together since We got 2 beds. Would not recommend if it was for everyday use but for a guest room it does the trick. Does not seam to sturdy to use every day.
It was pretty easy to assemble. I like how thick the are. I also added a wooden plank layer under my mattress since I was afraid of it sin. I wouldnt put 3500 lbs; it does make a subtle crea sound (I am 155/160lb 510.5 female)
We ordered this to have space under the bed in our apartment guest room to store items. I was able to assemble by laying out the items and following instructions. Our problem came when we tried to attach a bought separately. While both the and the frame had adequate holes and plates they did not match up perfectly. I still like both products and it was a minor nuisance. Two individuals, which in our case is two seniors in their 70s, can move the frame to the final location once assembled in the room where it will go.
