The sturdiness of this bed surpasses other beds. In fact I am 55 and 190 and I can sleep on the top bunk with my 30lb daughter without worry about it falling on my son underneath. Description says each bed can hold 400 lbs .
For us, we chose this because American pediatric association says not to put children under 6 on the top bunk. Our daughter is 3 and my son is 2 but we needed a bunk bed since our living situation got downsized. So having a lower top bunk seemed to make sense. In addition we bought something off called a privacy tent and it fully enclosed my daughters top bunk bed since she is a crazy sleeper and literally throws herself in different directions while sleeping. The tent was a great addition and Im so thankful for it. She has lunged herself over the edge and the tent softly rebounded her back to where she was supposed to be. Make sure to look for a tent that goes underneath the mattress and not one that attaches to side bars and only goes over if you choose to do this too.
The inside the tent can get a little warmer than the rest of the room but for us that was not an issue as we sleep with the ac but Ive seen other reviews use a fan or open the mesh, it just depends on your situation. My daughter says its not warmer inside but I can feel a slight difference.
The only issue to consider is that the low bunk bed has little space for a larger child or adult. Also for me , because my son is very heavy for a 2 year old, putting him into the lower bed while hes asleep can be difficult, but which is something to consider especially if they crawl into your bed at night and you put them back.
I also think the low head space in the bottom bunk makes them outgrow it faster HOWEVER , given the opportunity I would choose this bed over and over again against competitors.
A little expensive I think, but still a good value I believe. It feels quiet sturdy and has a metal bar that runs down the middle which seems to help reinforce it. Our daughter hasnt slept on it yet as its a surprise, but I will update if any issues arise. So far Im happy with both its functionality and fun elements. She has a small room so fitting storage and an extra little hideaway/reading nook was key to maximizing space. She is a very tall 5 year old, but I think this will last a little while for her needs. Easy assembly though a little tedious. Instructions were thorough and easy to read/follow. Do need a drill just to keep in mind.
Update, so far no issues, and our daughter Loves her bed. She has a fun play area under it and the slide does well. She learned after first run how to land with her feet so she doesnt hit her bottom. Her older brothers now want a loft bed too lol
We set up this bed a week ago. My husband is around 150lbs and was helping my kid to go up the bed then he heard a crack. One of the wooden slats was broken. I think it is cute but i dont think this is a good quality or worth the money.

It has been several days since I received 。but I just installed them today. During the installation process, I found a lot of problems, and the whole bed did not match properly. I dont know if it will be solid in the future. The wood is cracked in a lot of places. Maybe it is good, maybe I was unlucky, but the whole is good, not ugly.not bad .
Built literally by myself, just once I needed my husband to hold a piece up. Super easy to put together, directions are easy to follow. Very nice, perfect for my kids, they love it. Ive had it for a good 9 months now and its still good as new.
Im 160 and the ladder doesnt work when I stand on it. It kicks away from the bed. Also I placed my newborn on the bed, then went to join him and as I reached the top of the ladder. I heeeard a creek in the wood and we both went thru. Lmao. Ive since then had to reenforce the bed. My 4 year old loves it now

It was easy to assemble with two people. I like that its low to the floor. Its good quality for the price paid.
