This is perfect for what I need. Instructions easy to follow, and had one extra of each piece, which was thoughtful. It took me 30 mins with a drill by myself. Its heavy, so if you are moving it, get help. It seems sturdy and well made. The cubbies with movable shelves are great. The cushion has double stick industrial tape to it stays put. Very pleased with this purchase!!!
I searched for about 2 hours before I settled on this. 10 out of 10 I would buy again. I am a man in his 40s with a life collection of shoes. I also make every guest take their shoes off at the door. I wanted something that would 1) hold all my shoes 2) have some room for visitor shoes 3) be somewhere people can sit and put their shoes back on. This does all of that beautifully.
It's NOT cheap. But you kinda get what you pay for. The other options in this arena are EXTREMELY lacking. It also requires TWO people to put together. I thought I could put it together myself and couldnt. There is a part where you have to have someone pushing from one side while you screw from the other. No way you can do this with 1 person. The cushion is just enough. I have had to tell people that they can sit down and put their shoes back on (they were trying to do it standing up) and they were pleasantly surprised it easily held their weight (they didnt know they could sit on it). I have even stood on this to put stuff into the top shelf above the yellow dog in the photo. More than once. No squeaks or hesitation to hold my weight (I am 160lbs). Again, little hard to put together, especially alone, but no major issues. Definitely costs some money. But it is EXACTLY what I wanted. Would recommend.
I think its sturdy, holds my boyfriend and I while we put shoes on at the same time. I lined the bottoms of the shelves with contact paper for a longer lasting piece of furniture. I liked having adjustable shelves on the left and ride sides for different sized shoes. This bench resides in our garage where we enter and exit our home.
