This arrived in perfect condition. And, assembly was pretty easy. First, you assemble the base. Then you attach the lift and the back of the chair to the bottom. Set the chair on the base ... and you are done. The hardest part was getting the wheels on. And, I've put together a lot of task/office chairs in my life: that's pretty normal. This even comes with a hex wrench. Really thoughtful!
Now, the chair is genuinely, surprisingly wide. I could nearly fit another person next to me (but I'm also very small). So, if you are seeking a really wide chair, this might be a good choice (otherwise it may not feel as snug).
Now if this is for a desk, keep an eye on the measurements to be sure it will fit under the desk. The desk for which we selected this is a little low, and the chair didn't fit. But we did find a really nice spot for it.
When I ordered this, I was picturing a velvety material, but instead, its just a regular but soft material. That is probably good news for those seeking a nice chair for the office or even their home-office.
