This chair has a pull next to the seat that you pull to pop out the foot rest, but it doesnt have anything to help put the foot rest back down. When you want the foot rest down you have to force it down with your legs. There is quite a bit of resistance and it is not easy. For this reason I am disappointed that I purchased this item.
This chair has been immensely helpful to my 86 year old dad. It arrived a few days early. He and my 21 year old daughter put it together easily, and while he felt he really didnt need it, he immediately started using it full time, including the lift function. He noticed an improvement with his knee pain right away.presumably because he isnt straining as hard to stand. He reports it is comfortable and easy to use. I dont usually give 5 stars, but in this case, the product deserves it.
The massaging is useless doesnt feel like anything, overall super comfy chair I used it as a nursery chair I also didnt like how it reclines its hard to keep it in place you have to recline all they way back to make it stay

We purchased 3 of them about two months ago, and so far so good! They are very comfortable and great for media (theater) rooms.

Recliner is comfortable and attractive in living room. The added massage and heat features are especially beneficial.
