First, Ill note that the legs are under the seat which is common practice for many chair manufacturers today. Sometimes the fabric under the seat is zipped with the legs and hardware and sometimes it is fastened with hook and loop tape as in this chair.
The fabric wasnt velvet but is more of a canvas or linen. I was expecting a beautiful blue chair but ended up with a lovely gray chair. The fabric is durable and seems reasonably easy to clean. The chair is a statement piece with nail head trim and button tufted upholstery for visual interest.

I was a little worried about comfort when I worded this chair becuase of the reviews and was a little concerned when I felt the cushion when I took it out of the box. It felt like it gives though so I figured I would give it a chance and when I used it, it was so comfortable. It felt a little hard for about 5 minutes sitting in it and then it was perfect. I fit nicely in the chair and Im 5 7 and over 200 pounds. I do put a pillow behind my back but I like to sit forward and my desk is small.
It was worth the money, these chairs and office chairs get really expensive. This is honestly a nice quality chair.
I was a little annoyed during assembly, i feel like they could have labeled the legs for how they go on becuase the interlock before bolting them down.
I am giving this product 2 stars. While it looks great it is better sized for a child and has 0 comfort or softness at all. You will not sink down when sitting in this chair, you will feel like you are too big. It looked great but I had to make the decision to return. What good is a chair you dont want to sit in..

Beautiful, but should not be used as a desk chair
Beautiful chair, very very pretty. Assembly was a breeze. Not comfortable, only decent for maybe a vanity chair, not a desk chair.

my daughter loves her new chair for her room. fits perfectly under her desk.
