    Nice bed.

The bed was easily assembled. Great quality and well worth the price. It looks fantastic. It was heavy and definitely takes two people to maneuver the bix.

    Best for the price!

Ive got two of these frames.one for my queen sized bed, and one for a new king sized bed. It has a lot of parts, but isnt terribly difficult to assemble. The bed frame makes a box spring optional.and has fantastic support. For the price, it cannot be beat.

    nice look, unusual design

A faux/leather headboard dresses up this king platform bed. This type of platform doesnt use a boxspring, and works well with a foam bed. Assembly is easy, though assembling the slats is tedious. There are fewer small parts than Id normally expect in furniture this size, and cleverly ships the components packed inside the hollow headboard. Besides making shipping simpler, that also makes the whole assembly less heavy. As typical for beds (Ive had 3), the structure is sturdy and over/engineered, with no creaking or shifting. Ive currently paired it with the 8 Ultima Sleepmaster mattress. The headboard is wide enough for the cats to easily walk on. Theres a couple of nice touches with the design: Assembly is more straightforward than usual, with most of the screws pre/attached. Slats are assembled one by one rather than as a set. Its slower, but each slat feels well attached. Sides are faux leather too (not just the ends of the bed). As well as some oddities which cumulatively cause me to dock a star: Theres no footboard (the end of the bed has a faux/leather finish, but doesnt come up over the end of the bed). The slats are just below the edge of the mattress; your hands will bump into them when changing sheets, or if the mattress isnt lined up just right. Theres four slats with sticky strips, meant to keep the mattress from moving (rather than a lip around the mattress) The slats are very arched. This provides extra support and resiliency for the mattress, but is enough to push a thinner mattress upwards slightly. I noticed I can feel the difference in firmness when lying down over the slatted areas versus the center of the bed (where the slats arch back down into the center support). Id prefer to have an even level of support under the entire mattress. I have owned a number of products. Theyve done a good job of making useful, modern/looking furniture thats suitable to flat/pack and ship, with clear directions and well/designed components that would make IKEA jealous. This platform bed fits right in with all of that. Recommended.
