The shipping was cry fast owing to the DC it came from being less than four hours from my house. Once it was received it sat in my office for a while but I finally got this put together. A few things were upsetting. First, the pre/drilled holes were not fitted to the appropriate screws that were sent; many of them had to be carefully drilled out with hand tools just so the screws would fit without shattering the wood. Second, 1/2 of the dowels were split down the middle lengthwise, a few shattered when trying to glue them into place. The third and probably biggest drawback is the finish of the paint. It scuffs, scratches, flakes, scrapes, and cracks with the smallest amount of pressure. All Ive done to this thing so far is put a tablet power cable on it and it is already chipped at the edges of the top. Gently hand/screwing in the cam screws made the paint/finish around the pre/drilled holes crack and flake off. If youre just going to repaint/finish this thing in the near future it wont be a problem. The unit I bought was white, maybe the more natural finishes dont have this issue. Not really too happy but also not a return/able offense, especially given the overall size and weight of this thing (its quite hefty.)
I had an exceptional handy man who usually does commercial work assemble this. He replaced several of the hardware pieces with his own hardware. He took quite some type to assemble it. He said it is well made compared to most diy assembly furniture. He said it is not something that the average person should expect to put together easily. I am using it as a buffet in my kitchen and it looks lovely. I did change the knobs to make it look more contemporary.
I never would have been able to put it together on my own. It has hundreds of pieces / I think they should let buyers know that. It would be helpful to include a link to the assembly instructions so that buyers know what to expect prior to making the purchase.
Great piece of furniture / especially for the price. I was a little concerned about everything being delivered intact after reading some other reviews, but everything was delivered on time and in good shape. It is delivered in huge box with a ton of pieces. Takes a few hours to assemble. Nothing too complicated or labor intensive. I changed the hardware, but other than that, we love it. Would definitely recommend.
3.5 hours install time while watching TV
Product looks great
Sturdy
Instructions were clear and easy to follow
As of now we would purchase this again.
Ordered the white console on Jan 2 2017 and received it on Jan 9 via UPS. The box looked to be in pretty rough shape with some gauges and other such marks. That does not surprise me since it is a heavy and big box. I was happy that when I opened it, the packing did its job and the item was not damaged. The instructions that were included with mine had 2 pieces marked that did not match the instructions, as well as it did not provide the instructions on inserting the glass on the doors. I was able to figure it out quite easily. I also later found out the manufacture website had PDF instructions and this lined up perfectly and included the missing steps. While watching TV, I spent about 3.5 hours total in assembling the item. Pieces went together as they should and the items seems to be of good quality.
I love this console / did take a few hours to assemble (many pieces and hardware), but easy to follow instructions and looks great! I have a 60 TV on it and it looks great/proportional.
Looks great, good quality for the price if your organized its easy to assemble. It took about 3 1/2 hours with one person. If youre even just a little handy you wont have any issues. The instructions are clear and pieces well labeled. Well worth the money.
I am thrilled with this table! I had a 52 piece of glass that came from an older, broken table and it fits perfectly on top of this. We use it as a buffet table in the dining room, so the glass is very handy. It took awhile to get everything out of the packaging, but the many, many pieces and parts were very clearly diagramed and described in the 33/step set of directions. We found all of the bolts and screws, dowels and cams well organized and labeled and engineered to fit the various holes indicated in the directions. Putting the top piece on was the hardest part, as it was very heavy and a little difficult to set in place matching up all the dowels and bolts with the holes. That part is definitely a 2/person part of the puzzle! I would also caution that the back panels (just when youre almost finished!) are a little tricky. I didnt look closely at the order of things. There are three panels. You cant put the screws in place for the right side of the left panel or the left side of the right panel until you put the third (middle) panel in. One other caution is hanging the doors. I wish I had put the hardware on the cabinet first before attaching it to the doors. I think it might have been easier that way to get them to hang properly. Overall, I have all good things to say about this piece. My husband did the first 4 steps and I did most of the rest. No way to do it all in a day (if you want to stay married!), so we took our time. It is a very heavy and substantial piece of furniture that looks terrific! We had no damage to any piece and are pleasantly surprised by the quality. And, yes, I am truly a consumer who bought and built this piece!

Very Nice.
Not as hard to put together as some reviews claim. My wife put this together during one World Series game with NO problems. Very nice sturdy piece.

Nothing was damaged. It took us about two hours to put together, but it is very sturdy and looks great. Id buy it again.
