I think this would have been a nice table, however I believe it was damaged PRIOR to packing. There was no visible damage to box (see photo), however each wood piece (3) was scarred and gouged beyond repair - one revealing that the underside was composite (photo 1) and not solid wood. Manufacture used thin sheets of plastic and thin cardboard between pieces which could not possibly have protected them even if they were damaged in shipment. Very disappointing purchase.
This is a gorgeous table, I Love it. However, I took 2 stars off because it was delivered with scratches here and there and there is no instruction (which came with the table) of how to contact the manufacturer. First 3 pictures are the base, last one is the top piece. Dont get me wrong, with these flaws it is still beautiful.
I love this coffee table, like others on here it does look so classy, easy to assemble. The only problem with it was along a few of the edges it was scratched but I have a set of brown furniture touch up pens that look like markers and using them I fixed the problem. I get lots of compliments for this. I went to , rooms to go etc. first looking for a coffee table and can tell you for the money, this is a fabulous find!

Tip: Buy coasters to avoid people damaging the top, its to pretty to spoil!
Oh the pull out leaf is functional and the mechanism smooth!
I saw this table at a local store and falled in love but they were close to $100 more. I recibed my order from in few days after I place the order, they look beautiful in my living room.
Table was scratched a little around the edges and has a shinny discoloration on the top surface of the wood. Table also sits a little high. From the ground to the top of the table is
2 feet. Or about 24 inches
I like the design a lot but the finish on it is not very durable. You have to turn it upside down to set it up and some of the finish came off in one small spot.
It is not medium brown. It is a cherry wood finish - picture and description is misleading. The metal is painted - it looks cheap. The only reason I am keeping it is that I dont not have time to pack it back back up and return to UPS.
