Putting into together wasnt the hardest thing but it also wasnt enjoyable either. A couple of the holes were not drilled properly so the screws had issues fitting properly so they had nothing to thread too. It took a lot of force and time to get them to screw in even half way with the included tool as I do not have a drill.
The metal bars that slot in to the bed frame to hold up the mattress have nothing attaching them to the frame so they will side out constantly. Some screws to affix them would have helped the durability drastically. Now a couple of months later I can say it is not holding up at all. The support bars no long fit into the frame properly, as they already seemed short but the natural bend of the frame over time means the supports just straight up do not even sit in the holding brackets anymore. I got this bed frame because it claimed to be durable and had a high weight limit. Im about 250, and a few months in, it just hasnt lasted as it should. Its honestly trash, and I would not recommend this bed frame for anything other than a guest bed or maybe a child under 50 pounds because the bed just wont hold up otherwise. Even then with the way the supporting bars slide out constantly, I would consider using this frame unsafe in those conditions too.
This unit arrived ready to assemble. Directions were simple and complete. All hardware was there with simple tools. NO missing parts or hardware. One thought do order the mattress holder brackets. They are not included must be ordered separately. They easily snap on rail and prevent mattress ( which sits on top of rail) from sliding. This sturdy frame was well worth the $money$.
All the parts were there! That was my first relief. Im 62 and not necessarily a wiz at putting things together. But I was determined to tackle this project by myself. Some of the instructions werent real clear but I got it figured out. It took me a few hours because I had to prop some parts while putting together other end I would have saved a lot of time if I had someone to work on it with me. Once I had everything put together I went back and snugged everything down. Its a nice sturdy bed. Update: after having used this bed for a while now I can say that Im pretty happy with my purchase but there are a couple of things that I dont likeee 1: its very easy to stub your toes when making the bed so I always make sure Im not barefoot. 2: since there is no box spring its difficult to tuck in a flat sheet so I have to pull the sheet down at the foot of the bed enough to tuck under the closest bar under mattress. Maybe thats normal for this type of frame!
I rarely write a review but this is the gorilla of a bedframe. I easily put it together by myself. It is strong and stable. I loveee that it is also high off the ground. I am 5 6 and need a step stool to get in bed. I loveee it!!!! Worth every penny.
