Futon is 600 pounds and I live on the 3rd floor of my building so I needed help carrying it forsure! Easy to assemble, Im also 52 / 53 and I lay flat on the couch (havent laid on it as bed yet) but yes I bought the mint and the color is exactly like the picture. Everything looks good but it is firm. Its not squishy
We bought this couch to put in our kitchen to watch tv during the winter so we didnt have to run the basement furnace for our downstairs entertainment area. The sitting area of our kitchen isnt big enough for recliners, (and I dont like the look of them), so we recline the back of this couch and prop our feet on the coffee table with some extra pillows. Its pretty comfortable and allows me to cuddle with my husband too. What could be better?
The couch is really beautiful and super soft, but not as dark as pictured. Its velvet, so it reflects the light, making it a lighter gray.
The back is partially open, so it will need to be placed against a wall, or something put behind it.
It definitely serves its purpose and the price was right.
Beautiful and well made. Picture is true to color. A pretty firm feel so I would not use it as a long term bed. Good for a guest for a few nights or a sleepover.
This couch is a dream come true. For the price its everything I needed it to be, pretty. But I found assembly was easy. Even for a girl who isnt handy. The little wrench tool they gave you could be better so if you have a small one at home, I suggest you grab it just in case. The color is a soft . The velvet feels really nice. However, its extremely firm. I thought it would have more give since it was . Maybe over the next few days it will rise and get softer? Only time will tell but I am very satisfied with it so far.
I love the color. It was super easy to put together. I would say that it feels a bit firm, so I dont know how it will be to sleep on it, thats why I gave only 4 stars, but I am planning to update this once I have the chance to sleep on it and use it a bit more.
I love this sofa! Its super cute and looks great in my Art Deco office. It folds out into a futon which provides extra sleeping space for when I have a log of guests. Not super soft, but I dont think its uncomfortable either. I wouldnt necessarily use it for a primary living room sofa.
6 Month Update: Have had this about 6 months. It gets light use as it is in a home office. All of a sudden one side will not lock back into place after laying flat. Im disappointed that it has already failed after 6 months of light use. It has been slept on 3/4 times by my daughter when she visits for 1/ 2 nights. I have filed a warranty claim.
Original Review: Overall happy with this purchase. It will be used in my home office so it is not a main source of daily seating.
A few things to know: this is not a deep navy so if you want that you will be disappointed, I wanted this color tone that I saw in other reviews and was hoping thats what I would receive and was happy with my choice, easier to install it with 2 people, the leg install is tricky because of the angles (especially the bottom left screw on each outer leg), just be patient, keep the other screws loose and tighten after all are screwed in a bit.
It is firm but not uncomfortable to me (its not a sofa), I does make creaky noises when you sit on it but the less you weigh this probably wont be as much of an issue I am on the heavier side, you probably will want some pillows to make the corners more comfy, and lastly I will use a topper whenever someone sleeps on it so they dont feel the creases from the cushions.
Assembly took me and my husband about an hour due to the issues with getting that bottom left leg screw installed on each leg.
