Great buy for the value. More awkward than challenging in regards to assembly. But all in all, I love it!!!!! I dont actually plan on storing stuff in it, bottom of storage as it comes is flimsy, but if you really want to store stuff, use the existing bottom (thin particle board( as a template and cut one from plywood. Remember ....the price is still right!!!!!

My wife and I bought this item to store frequently worn shoes in our entry hallway. We can also comfortably sit on the bench to remove or put on shoes. The capacity worked out to a total of 4 pairs of shoes { one pair / shelf }. Mid or high top shoes / sneakers did not work out well ( the doors could not close ).
The item looks gooddd and it was not difficult to assemble. I would recommend this purchase.
FYI - for seating purposes, those individuals with large backsides may be challenged { based on the narrow footprint of the pad on top of the bench .. ! We had no issues !
From the moment this product arrived in my house I was impressed. The delivery man was kind enough to carry it into the house for me. It was packed very well. Lots of reenforced edging and corners. The box was damaged in one spot but because of the wonderful packaging the damage wasnt able to reach the product. All the pieces were intact. The bundle that held all the hardware was labeled very well. Even though the company gives you extra hardware, none was needed. Everything was there. As I unpacked all the pieces I made sure to examine everything. No issues to be found. I was able to put the bench together myself (solo). It only took me one hour and 30 minutes. Let me tell you that I am 69 years old with arthritic hands and a bad hip. It took some ingenuity to prop up some pieces for the proper angle to screw some pieces together. I am very pleased with how it looks in my home. Definitely a quality piece of furniture.
P.S. It will be used as a toy box for my grandchildren. That is why I wanted the seat to prop open and not fall down on those tiny precious fingers.
I purchased the farm house grey bench for sitting area in my sunroom. It is just the right height to be placed in front of my low windows without blocking the view and the color matches my other furniture perfectly. It was not hard to assemble (did in in less than 45 minutes with my husband). Instructions were clear and easy to follow and the pieces and parts all lined up correctly without any issues. Once put all together, it is a sturdy attractive little bench. Kudos on shipping, as I received it 4 days earlier than expected.
