I had to re order it twice because the tie strings broke or just completely came off. The zipper door strings ripped off so the door stay closed so I ended up having to cut the door off. Its just very very cheaply made for something that I spent $100 on
Purchased this greenhouse in April and assembled it a few weeks later. The materials arent as sturdy as I thought. It started with the strings to hold the rolled up window and door that ripped and later fell off, followed by ripped on the corners and sides as you zip up the opening.
I got all of the pieces i was supposed to get, however when i followed the instructions in the package i was given the wrong sheet. so i built it too tall and thought i was missing pieces. i've since fixed it myself and it looks great.
Easy to put together. Looks great. We're not using it until November to sprout things but all the pieces were there and we partially assembled it to get an idea of ease and utility and it's a great size for a backyard garden. Obviously if you have a huge amount of land, a walk-in one might be better but this was perfect for us and you can pack it up and put it in a small toolshed when you are not using it. If you have a bag for a large sunshade or a patio umbrella, you could probably store the pieces for this in that bag (it does not come with any kind of storage).
This is a smallish greenhouse that works perfectly well with new plants being started.
We have a specialty farm that needs outdoor starting sometimes.
This works well.
I've had my eye on something like this for a little while now, in part to help with my seed starts in spring and also to help keep some of my potted summer plants outdoors longer into the autumn. I also intend to test out overwintering plants outside. This seems like the perfect way to do it.
Assembly was pretty easy, took me maybe 30 minutes. The instructions were adequate. A bit of common sense will get you through the rest.
The shelves are light but sturdy enough for smaller pots - and that's fine, since you're not going to want to cram larger plants in here, anyway. This is best for having starters out early in the spring and that sort of thing. (I also plan to prune back some pepper plants and see if they'll overwinter inside this.)
As you should expect, this is very lightweight, so you don't want it somewhere it will be hit with winds. If your yard is windy, put it against a wall or in a protected spot.
I like the roll-up door. The plastic material of the greenhouse feels good and sturdy, too. It can be easily sliced with a tool, but I don't think a stray stroke with a branch will do it any harm.
Oh, and it's light enough to be considered mobile. That's great!
Overall, a good product for the price.
I live in a suburb in northern NJ and we have a deer problem, so I ordered this greenhouse partially for protecting my plants from these pests. I also like to grow tropicals like plumerias, flowering ginger, mangos, and lychee, which obviously need a lot of heat and humidity. I can't afford a glass and steel greenhouse, so this was the next option for something affordable and semi-durable.
I have a much smaller 3 tier mini-greenhouse that works well for seedlings.Basically, this unit is just a scaled up version of that, offering more shelf space. It's really more like a walk-in than a greenhouse, so do be aware of the dimensions.
I love this option for an indoor greenhouse if you have a limited budget. This makes my third indoor greenhouse. I really love how easy this one is to set up. It took me maybe a half hour, that is with several breaks to do other things. It is lightweight so it is easy to move around while empty. The plastic cover that comes with it does what I need it to, which is to keep my cat away from my plants. But for me, the downside to the cover is that it is green and not clear. The cover is also not air tight; air can flow freely under the greenhouse so I feel like my plants are not as warm as they need to be. The wire shelves are bendable. The holes in the shelves make it a problem with trying to put certain pots in there, such as pots with feet etc. My workaround has been using drainage trays or a plate on the pots that won't easily sit on the shelves. Other than that, I have no complaints and I would definitely order this again.
