So my old patio umbrella finally ripped after 4 years and I needed a replacement and wanted waterproof. I saw this and they had one for about 60.00 in Like New condition. So I took a chance.
I dont know who they have grading condition on these but let me share exactly what like new meant to them. The cross base was bent. Both pieces.and everywhere. They would not fit together because the slot where they lock had been smashed in. And both cross base pieces were no longer true flat and wobbled a full inch and a half off the ground. (I have no idea how someone managed that).
The umbrella canvas and spines were in great shape and looked new HOWEVER there are clear large pin holes where the pieces were sewn together. Have not had it up in the rain but highly doubt the umbrella is waterproof along the sewn seams.
The base post that attaches / or is supposed to attach to the cross beams looked worn and not like new and in addition there were only three bolts instead of the four needed.
I ended up using the cross pieces and the base post from my old umbrella to attach the like new umbrella section. It functions fine as is and looks nice. Really dont notice the base is a slightly different color.
Keep this in mind if tempted to purchase a like new umbrella from this merchant.

The base isnt stable enough
The umbrella wont stable or even stand by using the base which come with the umbrella. Have to buy a extra heavier base to stabilize the umbrella.
