Worth every penny! Beautiful little rocker. Very light weight and if you are placing outside it will be easily blown around by wind... That is the only down side.
I was cued into the usefulness of this Type of Wood Rocker when I started PT after my Surgery. One of the exercises you can easily do at home (and helps tone you up too for muscles damaged during surgery) is to rock back and forth with your foot on a small footstool (I ordered a toddler step stool for bathrooms). I put it in front of the rocker just a few inches, my foot on top, then rock back/forth to help stretch the muscles and gain back tone (and because you are rocking with your weight behind it -- it is an effective way to continue to exercise without expensive machines that insurance doesnt want to cover).
This chair fulfills the LOOK of having the rocking chair I always wanted. But I never ever sit in it.
1. I had to send the first one back because the holes in the runners didn’t match up to the legs. Working through the pieces to figure that out and then having to pack it back in wasn’t so fun.
2. So now I have a chair put together. But it doesn’t rock nice and straight. It’s off. That alone is bothersome. It also causes the chair to travel off to the side as it rocks. I tried to tighten everything up, hoping that would maybe fix it, but it didn’t.
3. The planks of wood that make up the seat stick out so that they dig into the legs. I’ve tried really hard to find an oversized cushion that would cover it, but I couldn’t find anything.
So at the end of it all, this chair just sits in the corner, looking cute. I’m kind of upset about it every time I see it.
