For the price, its a pretty nice bean bag chair. Ive had a Lovesac before (three of them) and in comparison this isnt too shabby of a substitute at a much cheaper price tag. The beanbag comes in a relatively large box with the beanbag compressed down into a cloth bag with zipper. Once removed from the outer bag, the bean bag was inside another plastic bag (the plastic bag makes it a little difficult to unzip but you can go all Hulk Hogan on it an break the zipper like I did to get it out easily). It looks like a large brain, once removed and now its time to break up the foam stuffing inside! This part takes no time at all and it says it can take a while for it fully to expand. Flipping it every so often to keep it fluffy should keep it being nice and bouncy in the mean time. The cover was really nice, surprisingly, not quite as plush as a Lovesac but sufficient . I dont know if another cover can be purchased for a spare, I would like to have that option. So, all in all, if you really want a beanbag but dont want to spend all your money on a Lovesac, this would be a great alternative. Its not filled with round foam pellets that the ones at the discount stores are and they have a washable cover which is a nice option. This size is good for a teen or small adult. I was in the market for a bean bag for my 9 year old, thus fits the bill nicely.
Just received this and opened yesterday. I have 2 suggestions:
- after removing the filler from the compressed bag, you have about 10 minutes to fluff up and put the cover on without it growing too large (you can also just throw it into the cover first, then fluff it up).
- out of curiosity, we opened the inner bag (youll need to use a paper clip or safety pin). DO NOT DO THIS. Cleaning the spilled filler is like getting rid of glitter... if you have small kids, you know exactly what that means.
After a day, its filled up really well, and actually is much larger than what I thought it was going to be. My daugher is 46 and she can easily nap in it. I can see her using the chair for reading for a very long time.
I am writing this review while I lounge on my memory foam bag...I was exhausted from fluffing up two of them! Its a serious workout to get these things full an fluffy. I no longer feel guilty about that chocolate I had earlier because I literally worked it off while taking these bags out of the packaging. That said, they were quickly fluffed and stuffed into the very high quality microsuede bags that zip right up. It took me about 10 minutes for them both. a very sweaty ten minutes. But totally worth it! The kids love them and so do I!! I got the 3 foot in Charcoal and they are big enough for me to lounge on...Im a whopping 51. They dont sink to the ground...I weigh 145 pounds. They are easily re-fluffed as well. Great purchase for my kids playroom. If I had more room I would totally purchase a giant one for my husband and I.
Weve been loving this massive memory foam beanbag chair! Its just super comfortable. My sister mostly claimed it after it arrived, because shes a smaller build, so its a better fit for her (I need to drop about a ton myself), though she isnt much shorter than me if at all (Im 59). She fits in the chair fine and mostly uses it for gaming, but Ive seen her nap in it too. Ive sat in it too, and its fine for sitting for me as well, though I cant really sink into it and relax the same way she can. Id need a bigger chair for that. Still, this is a BIG chair. When you first get it, the box is pretty big, but the chair is nothing compared to how big it will get. You have to unbag the actual core and break it up a bit, then you put it in a bag packaged separately. It expands over the next to weeks, but we were able to use it the next day. If youve got the space for it, its a neat item and is great for gaming in particular, as we still have some old systems that use wired controllers, and often the batteries die in our newer ones before were done playing. Highly recommend it if youre in the market for a chair of this size and shape. The memory foam and the washable covering are far more comfortable than my sisters old beanbag chair, which Ive sat in as well many times.
This came super-compressed into a small bag. Once unzipped, the chair started expanding and expanding and expanding. Its much larger than the beanbag chair I had in college. As I recall, it was a slime green color and the chair ended up being pretty flat after using it for a year or two. So far this memory foam bean bag chair is holding up well. It comes up to about my waist! I LOVE the soft cover, which is so comfortable. Theres plenty of support for your back, too. It is heavy, though, so you wont want to move it around a lot. Recommended!
I bought 2 of them when I was having a lot of company visit me at my cabin; that way I didnt have to buy permanent furniture for a small living room so that everyone had a place to sit. They worked great and my guests commented on how comfortable they were . I store them in another room when I dont have a lot of company. They are bigger than I thought they would be but still worked well.
