Bought this bed for my sons bedroom and although I waited a month after the bed arrived to assemble this bad boy. I managed to put it together by myself (superwoman I know). The bed came in six boxes and somehow I managed to open all of the boxes out of order ️. But anywho I assembled the staircase first and then the rest of the bed while my brat decided playing his tablet was more important than helpingok moving back to the review.noticed that some of the wood pieces were jacked up a little where the wood was damaged and shedding wood piecesbut since those pieces were part of the staircase drawers and could be hidden I wasnt sweating it. Just made sure I vacuumed throughout the mission impossible taskBut overall my brat loves it and thats all that matters.
My Nephew likes it, Yes, it takes time to put together (count on 4 hours+, depending on your skill), but WAY better than the first one I got that was just plywood. Looks nice, and my grandkids are happy campers.
Good Product. We really liked the look of the bed and the bottom bunk went together really well and fast but the top did not line up right and was more difficult to put together. Overall though we were pleased.
Not bad. I really like the bunk beds with trundle, however, it is important to carefully choose the mattress for the trundle. I have the bed on carpet and purchased a very nice mattress weighing approximately 45 pounds. It is too heavy for the trundle. The side panel is in danger of being ripped off or broken. The mattress is 8 inches deep which isnt really too high even with a mattress pad and sheets. I believe it is just too heavy. I am loo for a mattress in the 20 pound range. I dont expect it will be as comfortable, but will have to sacrifice comfort in order to be able to use the trundle. I have had 2 trundle beds over the past 30 years and I believe the manufacturer could have constructed the trundle with more support and better wheels in order to allow it to roll in and out much easier with a better quality mattress.
I want to add to my previous review. I still like the bed. I believe it is made with good quality materials. However, I continue to say the trundle design is simply pathetic. As a previous owner of 2 other trundle beds.they were fabulous compared to this trundle. Even with the lighter mattress, this trundle is simply a nightmare to pull out and push back in. I find myself often just wanting to leave it out all day because it is just too much trouble to try to push it in. I am concerned, one day, the side panel will be ripped off. Because it takes a lot of pulling to pull the trundle out. Likewise, my back is ta a beating trying to get the bed pushed back in! Previous trundles that I owned were a breeze to pull in and out on carpet, because apparently they had casters, rollers or wheels that allowed them to glide in and out easily.
This bed takes a great deal of muscle power! If youre wanting to use it often, as I do, and not in tip top physical condition, look for another trundle.
Easy set up. The bunk set requires assembly, but the instructions are easy to follow. My husband and I put it together. The entire assembly takes 6 / 8 hours. Everthing is solid pine, except a few panels on the inside of the shelves. We are very satisfied with the set.
Cute. Beautifully finished, real wood construction. Easy to assemble due to coherent instructions. Hardware and each piece of lumber clearly marked to streamline assembly without confusion. If youre used to assembly, this was a delightful process by comparison. It took two people about 9 hours and some space to assemble. The drawers and trundle move perfectly! This is an excellent product.
