Review edited and an extra star given because of the great customer service. I was contacted and refunded a portion of my purchase price because the frame did not fit what I had in mind.
The frame is two inches too long AND too wide. Meaning, your standard size queen mattress will be too small for the frame, leaving an inch gap on all sides of the mattress. The standard size bed skirt also of course doesnt fit. It looks bad, and the frame sticks out from the mattress, making toe stubbing more likely. You can also see in the picture that I had to Macgyver the standard queen size headboard to work, because the back legs are two inches in from the outer part of their frame, meaning the headboard doesnt line up.
Once I finally set it up it was nice. The middle bars did not all fit and I had to make adjustments not mentioned in the instructions (which was nothing but pictures) for them to fit. Very frustrating.
Love the sturdiness and way the frame evenly distributes weight of the box spring/mattress combination, also bought on .
Together they are a sound affordable investment. Am very satisfied with purchase and would purchase again if a 2nd set-up is ever needed.
