Just got these yesterday and my husband, a carpenter put them together last night. They went together amazingly well. He used Gorilla Glue. They are very beautiful and sturdy. In fact, they are just perfect. The color of the word is a tad bit redder than shown, but not a problem at all.
Very nice, real wood, medium walnut coloring. Recommend you have additional wood glue available when you assemble. There is a good bit on assembly with each rung and leg and the seat as separate pieces. But, it all fit well and and only took about an hour (not counting time for drying). I love the look of these, they are comfortable and fit in with my decor.
Beware of assembly. Im a general contractor and competent carpenter. It took me a couple hours to assemble a set of three of these, and doing so was more challenging than the average professional carpentry jobs I do.
There are 16 glue joints per stool. Thats a lot. Its tricky pulling all these joints together into a solid piece of furniture. If youve never glue joined furniture before, dont start with these. This is several times harder than assembling furniture and the results are not forgiving because of the of glue. If you are an experienced craftsman, you wont like these dowels. I had to sand every dowel to get a decent dry fit. The dowels were painted, thats why. Dry fitting is essential with these, or youll find out a joint doesnt fit after the glue is already poured.
The glue provided is a joke. Dont even consider using it. No idea what it is, but the quantity provided is enough to do 2 or 3 joints...not 16.
One stool had badly misaligned dowel joints where the A frames met the seat. I had beat it into submission with a mallet. Not for inexperienced DIY folks.
Even though I eventually got these 3 stools built and think the results are OK, I didnt get a bargain. The quality of the wood components was no better than decent. For the money, I had to work too hard to build them.
Excellent ...well packed...some assembly but all parts were included. Quality wood and perfect color stain....all three matched for color. Level and heavy duty...well braced with 6 support bars not 4. Would definitely recommend.

Great chair - wrong color for us.
Looked sturdy but color was too orange for our room. Wish they had lighter colors with the added stability bars.
Good price for real hardwood stools

Three Stars
Beautiful, easy to assemble, a little too wiggly. Maybe they needed more glue in the joints.
Five Stars
These are so sturdy and well made, yet comfortable too. Nice finish too.
