I have only had this for a month, but I am liking it very much. The height is right for a 14 mattress. It is a luxury mattress and it holds it fine. Like other reviews say, put some kind of cushioning around the legs or you will hurt your toes. I used plumbing pipe insulation with black zip ties and it works well. Good price.
This frame is surprisingly strong and quiet: 35 minute assembly. Parts marked well. Love the underneath storage with 12 plastic tubs. As a previous reviewer pointed out, the legs stick out past the bed and your toes will find them every time. Easy fix was 3/4 foam pipe wrap cut with scissors and fit around legs. I knew this going in so spent 4 Home Depot and bought two tubes. It is worth doing as the black tubes match the frame and prevent toe stubs. We put a bed skirt underneath the new mattress and it is now visually perfect and functional as well. Took us about a week to get used to our new 14 mattress on a 14 platform. Love it. good buy!
I REALLY wanted to like this. It was sturdy and helped keep my mattress level after the original box spring got damaged in a move. But the frame is wider and longer than my standard queen mattress by a couple inches all around, which led me to hit it with my shins (especially on the sharp, hard corners) multiple times in the short time I had it set up. Maybe its just my lack of grace, but wasnt worth the bruises. Fast service.
I have two boys who are very rough, but i still expected it to last a little bit longer. This bead was set up on 9/1 and is broken, Today is 9/11. They werent jumping on it but they were rough housing. Still my kids are 61 lbs and 50 lbs i expected a king bed to at least last a month. Dont buy unless its just for a guest bedroom and just to sleep on. no activities.
The frame was easy enough to assemble but it was missing 4 slats on the frame. I didnt realize it was missing parts until I finished putting it together I had to space them out to make up the difference. Quality could be improved.
Ive had it less than a week and it already creaks a lot. Im not going to return it though because it took WAY too much effort to put together. Ill just try to retighten all the bolts again Not bad.
We like the frame because it seems very sturdy. Our memory foam bed sits on top but does not fit inside the frame. So there is a little sliding up the bed as we get in and out. That doesnt matter to much to us. The thing we did have a problem with is that it was missing the nuts. We had actually order two frames. The nuts were inside the box of the first one but not the second one. So I had to go to the local hardware store and find them. Thought we had the right size, but it didnt fit. So I had to go back a second time. Apparently the nuts are in metric. In case anyone else has this problem, the nut size is 1.25mm. I felt that the quality control was not good for an important part like that to be missing. Because of this problem, I gave the frame a 4 star. It is ok.
The mattress slides a bit. The ends of the bed are slightly dangerous to shins. I put bubble rap on them. Would buy again because it is quality for the price. I would buy again!

Hard edges stick out past mattress

Check parts before you put it together!
