A very solid construction! My 10 year/old boy and I put this together. There are some clips that are tougher to put in; however, we used the back end of a butterknife to push them in place easily. Im quite pleased with this purchase and my daughter is ecstatic.
Pretty wobbly but works great! Has enough room underneath that I put a recliner love seat underneath for a lounge area. My kids have a lot of floor space now and are super happy with their more grown up room.
I read the reviews carefully, including the hints on how to assemble the bed. You really do have to pay attention to what direction the large pieces are going and where the holes are.
I did enjoy the old welded bunk beds, but I can understand that this is easier to ship. My husband used a tool to help with the little plastic pieces and found it worked well.
We bought this bed to expand a room in our house on Cape Cod. A couple can sleep on the bottom bunk and a child on the top. Saves space in smaller rooms.
It came quickly, and took me hours to put together. About half the time spent was trying to put in the little squares at the top of the support bars that run under each bed / very hard to put in. And having a hammer was helpful for the very challenging ones. But, its done now and my kids love it. And its sturdy and looks nice.
Bought two of these beds. Great bed for my two sons, 8 9 years. Very sturdy for a metal bed frame. Only downfall is that one of the beds was missing the parts to one side of the ladder. Other than the factory packaging issue, Im very satisfied and happy with the purchase.

Nice bed for a ten year old. Note sure it will stand up for him when he his 16 but it good for now. The one, but huge complaint is that the ladder rungs hurt your feet. Not discomfort, but pain.
