This came nicely packaged and looks really great in our new bathroom. Will update with a visual once weve completed our renovation but we are VERY excited about this shower head.
Update from my previous 1 star review below. got back to me and the customer service was great. They sent out a replacement part at no cost before I took it all apart. When taking it apart, I found that the plumber had installed a galvanized steel coupling that was rusting out and it had nothing to do with s product. Changing this to a 5 star review per their customer service.
Looks atheistically pleasing, but when turning the water on, the water has a brown/rusty water that comes out of the spout for several seconds. The brown water in the tub must be drained and rinsed out before filling. This gets worse when the tub is not used for a longer amount of time (when we are on vacation for a week). The other day, brown/rusty water came out of the spout for upwards of 10 seconds after coming home from a 9 day vacation... I contacted Sumerian and they stated they had never seen this before but they will test their faucet their (in China Im guessing) to see if they have the same problem (not a great response). I doubt I will hear back from them. None of the other faucets in my new home do this so I fill confident that there is something in the valve or spout provided that is rusting out or wearing down with the sitting water. Kind of discouraging as a valve is very difficult to replace (have to tear out sheetrock, etc.). It worries me to have my children in the tub not knowing what the brown water is coming from, but I dont have much of an option at this point. I will update if is able to figure out what the brown water is coming from and make things right..
Im in the middle of a bathroom remodel, so Ive only tested out the shower head thus far, but I can tell you, the pressure is very good by my standards! Replaced some ~$30 model I had in there before that everyone complained about whenever they used the shower, and I can tell you, this one packs quite a bit more pressure.
Most of the settings on the head arent really useful to me aside from the normal, full-blast setting like in my picture. It gives great coverage but really does back it up with pressure that you feel as the water hits. Is it garden-hose pressure? Of course not, but by todays standards, I think it is right where it should be.
Beyond that, the whole set is really beautiful. Quality metal, everything feels heavy and durable. Shouldnt be too bad to install, might need an adapter for the valve as others have mentioned here. Otherwise kit has everything youd need.
Love this set so may end up adding it to our other bathroom once we tackle that one.
I have been looking around for a faucet like this one for a bathroom remodel. I wanted a separate hand sprayer and a fixed, large rainfall shower head. The finish is great and everything feels very high quality. The packaging is nice closed cell foam to protect the different parts and it comes with everything you need to install it. I tested out the main shower head on my existing shower and its exactly what I wanted. With standard pluming and average water pressure, this shower head delivers what I would consider the perfect volume of water with a good pressure. What makes it great is the large head size, so all the water isnt focused on one area.
I will provide future updates and pictures once installed, this is going to be a good one!
Love the shower head it feels great, water flows beautifully. Only thing that I didnt like was that the plate cover around the handle doesnt come with the normal screws to secure it in place you have to caulk around the plate cover to stop it from being able to spin.
A beautiful looking shower set. Install is pretty simple. I just replaced an existing with this one. Nice spray head pattens. Doesn’t have a ton of pressure but is a water saver. The handles and parts all look great and feel durable.
