I wanted to wait before doing a review for this product. It has been a little over a year since I purchased the Bed. I was originally looking into The Purple mattress. I was very frightened by the reviews of this bed. Taking to Youtube for video reviews didnt make anything better. I like my bed to feel like a cloud. I see better and fall asleep faster when it does. However, the reviews made it seem like The Hybrid bed would be like sleeping on a rock. and I debated getting the regular bed. However, I purchased the Hybrid because I have prime and the other one side I would have to wait a month. The spoiled kid in me took the version that could be delivered within a weeks time.
I must say, overall, I love the hybrid bed! The temperature of your room and body plays a big role in how this bed works. The cooler the room the firmer the bed. the warmer the room the least firm. Now I am a hot body so in the summer my body heat and AC make the bed perfect. In the winter I dont use much heat so again my body heat makes the bed perfect. Its firm but I still sink into it. I also love that I sleep on only one side of the bed and there are no impressions of where I sleep left in the bed. One last thing I think I should mention is out of the box I had to take a steamer to the bed to really get it to loosen up and be as it should. The first couple of nights were like sleeping on a brick because the bed just did not open up like they said it would. The steam( Youre not supposed to use really opened my bed up and made it dreamy. I also love the little cover they put on the bed. It feels so luxurious.
This mattress is AMING. I was skeptical at first because of some of the reviews, and the price seemed too good to be true! Weve been sleeping on this mattress for over a year now and I love it! It took a week or 2 to get it broken in and used to it. I love it and any other mattress I sleep on just doesnt compare!! 10/10 would recommend!!
Going from my previous online ordered mattress to this one was like night and day! I was waking up in excruciating pain in my lower back and with this mattress its gone! Yes it is firm but my back loves it.
Purchased a semi/firm queen and received a full. Got a full refund so it is what it is in that regard.
This is a 500 mattress so dont expect it to compare to the 1000/4000 mattresses out there. Its affordable and decent which makes it worth purchasing for some.
Based on the semi/firm feel, I can only imagine the firm is a cement block. Its VERY firm. Thankfully I had a foam mattress topper from my old mattress to try out and the combination is ok.
I think the semi/firm would be more comfortable for someone a bit heavier than I am (175lbs). If youre on the fence between semi firm and semi/soft, Id probably suggest semi/soft or do what I did and use a soft topper.
Purchased this to replace a mattress that was purchased from a local we/sell/everything supermarket. It was pretty trippy to see a mattress that was bundled in a bag like a giant burrito transform into a flat straight bed before our eyes. I was a bit skeptical that this would really be that decent. After letting it sit for a day it replaced the old unit. VAST improvement over the old one to say the least. This 12 is about twice as thick as our old mattress. We are very impressed with the quality and firmness. Time will tell how it holds up, but so far we are happy campers uh sleepers.
Very comfortable bed, just the size we wanted, and easy set up. Sometimes hard to get out of bed because it sinks too low, but that helps explain how great the bed is!
One corner of my mattress hasnt risen all the way, and this is at least 2 weeks later. I should exchange this, but it is going to be such a hassle to box this up and ship it. It doesnt really affect sleep quality that much, but is is extremely annoying.
Edit: 1 year later, it still is comfortable
