This bed is adorable. We got it for our 2.5yr old. It holds a 10 inch mattress, him and both me and my husband at the same time it is sturdy. I do recommend getting vertical slats because the slats are rather far apart. It wasnt a lot and I felt it would keep the mattress from sinking and reinforce it etc. so for me it was worth it. We like to cuddle with him and watch his shows so we wanted something with a high weight limit and I liked the fact that you can get the add ons in the future. I got cheaper storage containers that fit under the bed for now and we can pull out which work great as there is a lot of room, and we put a bed rail that folds down between the bed and the mattress and its been great. Worth the extra money to not get cheap ply wood. This thing can def stand up to 400lbs. Weve probably gotten alittle over 300lbs and not a creak!
Wasnt sure about purchasing a bed without seeing it in person but this turned out to be exactly as described. very sturdy for my 3 yr old and a parent! Dad has already slept in it twice with him.
I did some substantial research looking for a bunkbed for my 5 and 7 year old girls. Reasons I purchased this one was the ability to put a regular sized mattress on the top bunk - many bunks suggest using a thinner than average mattress and we had recently purchased some nice, regular sized mattresses and did not want to add two more to this purchase. That said, we have a standard 8ish inch mattress on the top bunk and it is pretty high (i.e. close to the safety rail). My 7 year old is o.k with this, but for a younger child, I would actually say you should get the slimmer mattress for peace of mind. Building the bed was just o.k. - the instructions are not that clear and you def need two people. The 'frame' for the mattress which is ropes and wood does not fit the full length of the bed like the pictures show in the instructions. I'm not sure what that is all about, but we didn't feel this would compromise the safety or comfort of the bed (but I think poor directions or a faulty product is at play). Once constructed, the bed is not the most sturdy (wobbles when someone uses the ladder), but that's why this is a good bed for now, not forever. I like knowing that once my girls decide they want their own space, we can separate the beds and not have to go buy new frames...a big selling point for me. All in all, a nice looking, average quality bunk that will serve it's purpose for a few years and made two little girls very happy.
This trundle looks fantastic! It shipped quickly and was packaged well. My 14 year old put it together herself in about 40 minutes (she said it would've taken less time if she didn't need to use the Allen wrench it came with) We have been using it for nearly a week and it seems quite sturdy. The wheels on the trundle make it easy to put away each morning.
This bed is great! We bought it for our 4 year old, but its sturdy enough that we can easily lay down with her. The metal bar under the slats is great and eliminates the need for the posts under the bed (so makes it easier for more under bed storage) the design also doesnt take up excess room. The one we received was flawless..no chips or scratches on the paint and it was packaged well. Wed definitely buy this bed again.

Very low to the ground
This bed is much lower to the ground than a typical bed. Check out the measurements before ordering.
