I bought this bed specifically to put storage under the bed. The picture clearly shows a decent amount of clearance but the bed I received is about 5 inches off the floor. Would not have purchased if I knew that.
Great bed! Very sturdy! Does not need a box underneath. We bought it with a memory foam mattress at Sam's Club it fit perfect! This is a size bed. My son is 5. I can see him staying in this bed til about 12.
Tip-When you first get the bed, it has a strong smell of paint or stain finish. I would recommend spraying down with PLEDGE. After the second day spraying down, the smell was pretty much gone.
Bought two for my kids room. Assembled by myself so it wasnt too hard. Seems to be sturdy and hold up well. Overall not a bad bed frame. A little lighter in color than pictured.
The bed arrived without any damaged or missing parts. Although there were no words in the instructions (pictures only), the assembly was very easy (less than an hour for two of us). The bed is sturdy, very nice looking, and should hold up for a long time. We purchased it for our 3 year-old grandson, so it is perfect for him and he should get years of use out of it. It would probably work for a small teenager/adult, although I wouldn't purchase it for a larger person and I wouldn't suggest jumping up and down on it. But if used for it's intended purpose, it should be great. I would definitely recommend it.
The smell of the paint was very strong. Good thing my kids were at their grandparents for 2 weeks after we assembled it. It takes a while for the smell to go away. Everything else is good about it and it is very sturdy.
This bunk is excellent quality and an extremely good price. Very happy with the purchase!
Pros: sturdy and goes together well. All the pre-drilled holes make assembling easy.
Cons: A very small part of the directions were unclear such as the wood beam direction for mounting the metal mattress support.
The part of the ladder with the wood dowels only should have a screw added to it.
Overall, very happy with this purchase. One piece arrived damaged and it took a lot of work to get it replaced. Once the replacement arrived, I was able to assemble the bed. There were holes that were not pre-drilled that made assembly harder than it should have been. Other than that one thing, the rest was easy to assemble. Im very happy with the finished product.

I did have some parts damaged during shipping, so I have submitted a claim on the website for replacement parts. Some things to note - I did not realize if these s were set up as 2 s, one of the beds would be mini - the top bunk is much smaller. I had planned to buy 8 inch mattresses - in real life, the distances from bottom to top bunk and from top bunk to railing seem much smaller. I decided on a 6 inch mattress instead. I like that these bunks are low profile. I will update my review if I dont receive the replacement parts or if it seems less sturdy once my mattresses have arrived, but as of now, I am happy with my purchase.
Got it for my toddler and I think it will last. This is a sturdy bed and it doesnt require a box spring because it has slats and nylon straps that serve that purpose. I put the bed together myself, it is well made and pieces were numbered making it easy to put together. I like that it had really pieces of wood. Good price.
