My daughter absolutely loves her new bed. She has a very small room but with this, she has so much room to play in her cool girl cave. Since replacing her normal full size bed with this one and moving the dresser, we can now open her dresser drawers fully and still have space to stand. We will definitely still use this bed for her when we move her into a bigger room because she loves it so much. We havent had any issues at all!
Ceilings dont get much lower than mine. Plenty of room for my 10 year old to sit up. My husband in the pic is 6ft.
We had room to set up a lil desk area under.
Went together in a snap!
A little bit more then I wanted to spend but was good and sturdy. Purchased for my 5yr old. Who is very tall for her age. I liked it because it could hold me and my daughter. Together we are about 200lbs. Which is no were near what it could hold.
This is a great way to make use of a tiny room. The storage space underneath is great! The bed itself is sturdy enough for an adult.
The only cons I have to report were:
1. the instructions were a little unclear. They are all pictures, no words, which is handy for people who speak and read different languages, but it would have been really good to have a little bit of explanation on a couple of the steps. However, I managed it all by myself over a couple of evenings.
2. The ladder and ladder-opening are pretty narrow. If you are an adult with hips, it is a tight squeeze.
But overall, I am very happy with how this turned out and it turned a tiny room into a really useful space.
Thoroughly pleased! My baby boy 5, loves his new big boy bed. The bed came in two boxes, one long one around 150lbs and a box for the desk, around 30lbs. I purchased the Clay.
I have been in search of a suitable bed for my child for a few months and I choose this bed for a few reasons
1.Solid wood, most of the contenders were not solid and had particle board, I considered the Low Study Loft Bed, Dark Cappuccino for reference
2.Weight limit, this has a 400 lb weight limit that he can grow into and I dont have to worry about it breaking down
3.No Proposition 65 Warning
4.Neutral color, he has a dark wood chest of drawers and this fit in with existing decor
5.Desk and storage included as he has a small room
It took two days for install, started on Sunday afternoon at 30pm, finished at 9pm, had whole bed installed except for desk. I took wine breaks lol. Desk installed next day and took 20 minutes. Only needed help to connect side rails, everything else I was able to do on my own because I am a beast at all things. All hardware/wood was accounted for before install and that took some time as well. Instructions (44pages) are visual only and very simple to understand. I only encountered two issues. Item 1A bookcase, I had to swap pieces 19and20 as they were backwards. And I was not able to add one of the corner screws for the desk, hole mismatch possibly, did not want to force it and damage anything, left it be. Pretty sturdy. Due to it being in a temporary location until we move, I did not secure all of the wood slats on the bed frame, just the middle and more than secure. I also skipped the corner bracket install for the desk, its pretty solid and can do without. I opted for a 8inch mattress but it think you could probably get away with a 10inch. Also there was a light order from the wood/paint, it has dissipated in the past 24hours. No real damage to the wood, just a nick on one of the shelves and one side of the desk was slightly discolored.
Overall worth the $540, going to put a sheet over front so he can still have a little secret cave to play but this is a great buy. I would suggest this bed. I was pretty hesitant to buy as it had not reviews but here you go.
When the bed arrived the packaging was a ripped up but the inner protective packaging kept any parts from being damaged. My son loves this bed and it has added additional play area to his room.
