I ve had this rocker for four years. Two babies, Zika, and a pandemic and this rocker is still going strong. It still looks great despite spills, drool, you name it. I ve slept may nights in this thing with a attached to me somehow and it got me through the rough newborn forest. I love that now that my babies are older it s big enough to fit me and the two kids in it for a story or just some snuggles. I don t think I ll be parting with this anytime soon. The only way this is leaving my house is because its been torn to pieces. It has been the daily used item in my life since my first was born, aside from the crib... and even that I don t think hasn t gotten as much use as this rocker!
The only downside is that since it s not a glider it will move as you rock, so you do have to scoot back up sometimes so you don t crash into the wall. But a minor nuisance in comparison to having a quality comfortable chair I ve spent hours of my life on.
Highly recommend!!
I bought two Vermont Wooden Rockers and I am more than pleased. They arrived carefully packaged, wrapped and protected. All the parts were there. The wood is even better than I expected. They re not just everything that was advertised, but even better. That said, a word of caution about assembling them.
While a tiny combo Allen wrench/screw driver comes with the chairs, I didn t even try using it because I knew it wouldn t provide the torque required for tightening the bolts. I used a power drill to fasten the screws for the rocker pieces and my own Allen wrench because it provided a better grip. The most important caveat concerning the assembly is DO NOT FASTEN ANY BOLTS UNTIL THE LAST STEP. Even though I followed this direction, you really need to keep the pieces loose in order to get all of them in their proper slots. With proper tools, figure an hour per chair to assemble.
Bottom line, great product, great price.
I never realized how expensive rocking chairs were until I decided to buy one! It is really hard to find assembled rocking chairs in my area and there are so many styles I wasn t 100% sure what I would be most comfortable in. I tried the local Cracker Barrel and of all of their display ones only one was completely comfortable and it wasn t in a color I wanted (I sat in every one they had out). I did learn they shape I was looking for, so that got me farther than I was before I stopped by. I also learned that the comfort can depend on who put it together...so off to I came.
Size wise this is slightly smaller than I expected, but I think that is only because I browsed the reviews and the lovely picture of the woman sitting in hers was throwing my brain off...I pictured her to be my height, but she s definitely shorter than me. No one s fault but my own there! To be fair, if I sit all the way back in the seat with my back straight the back of the seat is about an inch from the back of my knees. Unfortunately I tend to slouch down a bit and in that case I feel like it is too short for me in the seat.
I got two of these in red (mainly due to the cheaper cost of the color). It is a really pretty red and looks nice with my red brick house so it s all good. One of the chairs was missing parts but the return/replace was super easy. I ve only put one together so far (weather and an unrelated injury has delayed the other one). It was pretty easy to put together, although I d rather have had standard screws for everything, the allen wrench forced me to do most of it by hand and I felt that was unnecessary.
The first time I sat in it I heard a creak that sounded like a crack, but upon inspection haven t found any cracks, and haven t heard it in that place since. I did notice one of the seat boards make a creaking sound a few days later when I shifted to cross my legs, but again no visible crack. So I m not sure if this will hold up over time, or if it is just the pieces settling themselves a bit with use, only time will tell.
If they hold up a few seasons I won t be disappointed for the price I don t expect these to be heirlooms.
I love the way this chair looks! I also love how deep the seat is. It s not the most comfortable chair I ve ever sat in but it s nice. I plan to keep it for sure so it s comfort enough.

Comfy and sturdy
I love it. Easy to assemble and rock. Other viewers said it rocks too far back. Not the case. Maybe they put rockers on backwards.
Fours years and still going strong

Super comfortable BEST rocking chair.
This chair is the best rocking chair ever! The design and the comfort is unbelievable for the price. Worth every penny.
Love em, but take your time when assembling
