Pro:
Easy assembly, the hardware was surprisingly sturdy and well thought out. Typically this kind of furniture has a lot of plastic parts for hardware. No plastic here.
Easy for an adult to get in and out of if you need to snuggle with your little one.
Nice little space underneath for a fort or whatever your little one can think of. We are going to put lights in but have not done it yet.
Con:
Some cosmetic issues with random parts. Only one part is noticeable and you have to look for it (know its there) otherwise the rest were hidden or installed out of sight. I did not bother contacting the company for replacement. Once I started assembling I did not want to wait for parts so I decided to live with it.
The drawer at the bottom roles on the floor. Not a great thing in carpet. Its also not attached to anything so it will likely roll away when my little one notices they can remove it.
The drawer is open on the inside of the underside of the bed. i.e. the kiddos can simply look in there and mess with whatever is in there from under the bed.
The UPS driver must have been on drugs or something. He tossed it in the driveway carelessly and from the external look of it I thought for sure that it must have been damaged. It was not. This does not affect my review of the product. Just an observation.
This is heavy. When it comes you will need help getting it in the house. I recommend a dolly if you have one. Also a nice set of Allen wrenches is helpful as is a battery powered drill (Phillips bit); your install will go better with them. I have to note the Allen wrenches that came with the product. They were well thought out bending on each end similar to the letter z; you can turn them like a wrench.
We bought this set to imize space in our sons room. You get what you pay for and the set is OK but has some imperfections. Several sections of the wood had nicks and dings that were obviously there before the finish/stain was applied. Some were in inconspicuous areas so no big deal but the top of one of the bookcases had several knots that took the stain differently than the rest and look very weird. Some areas are rough to the touch but not terrible. Please note that the dressers are not very stable. They tip and rock forward when you open the drawers, even when under the loft. We bought separate brackets to secure the bookcases to the loft just in case but the dressers would be harder to do so. Again, you get what you pay for and we knew this wouldnt be top of the line but we did expect it to a little better than it is.
Ill be honest - the assembly is a hassle, which is why I gave this 4 rather than 5 stars, but the payoff is a sturdy bed frame that offers a place for my kiddo to play! So far, he loveeeees it, which makes for happy!!!!！ parents. We liked that this is made with solid pine versus the usual cheap particle board and MDF materials. The fact that it can hold up to 400 lbs. is impressive. Overall, were pleased.

Lifting the bed frame up was the only difficult part of the assembly. I actually started with assembling the ladder before starting with the right and left frame. I had two problems because of my height (5 ft) and ceiling height was 8 ft. So I had to get creative... replaced the 6 mattress and bedding on top with a two inch high density foam mattress and a 4 x 6 high pile rug which my daughter loveeeees sleeping on and is easy for me to remove and machine wash. The five stars is for the excellent overall assembly. Practically managed to do all by myself (although I would not recommend it unless you have no choice). This is sturdy enough for upto 70lb but more than I am not comfortable.
I had already ordered the bed before the bad reviews appeared for this product. So I was very nervous and skeptical about the bed. But after a week of use, I can certainly vouch for the quality and sturdiness of this bed.
Two of us did the assembling and it took about 3-4 hrs. The bed is made of solid wood and very versatile - you can easily switch the window and stairs side if needed. You can even put the window and stairs on the same side like I did with a bit of thinking on how to switch the drawer and shelf. The rails and also very high compared to other beds. One reason I opted for this bed was that it has a capacity of 400 lbs compared to other beds which are generally 200 lbs. The same bed is available on Wayfair from different brand for higher price.
My son loveeeees his bed, specially the den space below. Overall a great bed and would definitely recommend it!
My dad and 2 kids assembled it and didnt have any issues. The desk arrived with a ding in the front which I had read in the reviews was common. It does scratch easy during assembly so be careful of that. The ladder slips some if you dont get the pads on just right. Otherwise its great. She loveeeees it. Careful about putting a lot deep mattress on it. They are the same height as the railings. We had to find a smaller mattress so we didnt risk her falling out.

Mattress was too thick! and difficult to change sheets
