I bought a pair of these beds to replace the worn out, broken down wood frame beds for my boys. Theyre both a lot bigger and heavier now so I wanted sturdy steel beds and these seemed to be a good value. The beds arrived sooner than advertised, and the boxes were intact and in good shape. Upon opening, I noted all pieces were inside plastic sleeves to prevent scratching, plus two bags of assorted hardware and the instruction booklet.
Right off let me say the booklet did not have instructions specific to how to bolt together the center longitundinal support to which the center legs are attached, however, by that point in the construction process, it wasnt hard to figure out how to finish it up.
The bed certainly seems sturdy and when bolted up, very rigid. Having many cross/pieces, the bed doesnt need a box spring at all. Also, the cross/pieces (slats) have rubber caps on each end to eliminate metal/to/metal contact, which also eliminates noise.
One downside is the supplied Allen wrenchs tend to be soft, and the recesses in the bolt heads are rather shallow which adds up to the wrench tip slipping when trying to tighten things up. A quality, hardened Allen wrench / two actually, would be worth having, as well as a small Crescent wrench to hold the small, self/locking nuts.
Overall, this beds appears capable of holding up to the flopping, tossing, thrashing, and flouncing antics of a 200 lb. teenager!
This bed came quickly and was cheaper than the same bed on another popular furniture site. The only issue is that the holes dont match up for the center support legs. The holes were clearly drilled in the wrong location, and before you tell me that its because I put them in the wrong place or I put them backwards, its clear that they were just drilled too far to the edge. Its not possible to put the support beams in in a different direction, but there is overhang at the end and where they touch and the main floor support leg is supposed to go I was only able to put the screws into one hole and not both because there is about a quarter to half inch distance where the hole is off.
This means that theres no way to secure it.
This bed is the sturdiest I ever had. When you assemble it make sure you lay out all the pieces so you dont get them mixed. All the pieces were labeled to make it easier to put together. Once I put my mattress and box spring in it it sits high up. I would recommend it for anyone to purchase
I love these beds. I follow a girl named Brittani Boren Leach on Instagram and she has these beds in her boys room. I love the look of the look of them so I got my boys (ages 5 and 7) each one. Assembly was a little annoying but I have zero patience and ADHD so my husband swooped in to save the day. He had them both assembled in less than an hour. The aesthetic is what I wanted and the boys love their beds
It has a lot of prices to assemble but once you get going it gets better. It took about an hour to put it all together. We have black markings on parts of the headboard that wont come off. It has a a few flaws that are noticable enough to make me disappointed in this purchase. It is sturdy and I hope will hold up well but overall not the best.

Holes were drilled wrong.

Worth the not so easy assembly.
Assembly definitely needs two people! Very sturdy and looks perfect in my daughters room.
