I bought this bed to replace another bed for my wifes home office space. I thought it was a good looking bed for the price. Good reasonably price daybeds are hard to find where I live unless you buy from (2 1/2 hours away). First of all the minimal assembly required is an absolute false statement.
I consider myself a very handy person. I have made many repairs (appliances, computers, etc) and assembled many products (furniture, electronics, bikes) and let me tell you, this is THE most challenging, time consuming and frustrating projects (yes, projects) I have ever encountered so far in my 57 years of living. This is arguably a two person project, one if you enjoy unique challenges in life.
You will definitely need the following:
1. wood glue
2. time
3. Phillips screwdriver or drill for the wood screws
4. time
5. psychiatry or therapy appointments
6. patience
The most time consuming steps are the assembly of the wood slats for the rails. You will need some skills to keep them together to complete the sides and back. If you lose the hex tool life will be hard. It would be a good idea to group and lay out all of the parts on the floor before you start especially the rail slats. I started the assembly at 9 PM and stopped at 1 AM. I finished the screwing the bottom wood slats in the morning which only took a few minutes. Overall I am satisfied with the product and achieving the completion of this assembly.
I found this bed very challenging to construct. If you putting this bed together alone, it will be very difficult as slats in headboard do not stay together. Not easy to construct at all!
This guy delivered and it had a little damage but overall the value for the money my son and I disagree he likes it he actually loves his but he you bump it just right and the varnish comes off its not real sturdy if theres a kid climbing into the bed frequently either
Actually for the price its a great product I put it in my living room I sleep on it at night and it looks just like a couch when you throw some pillows on with a cover absolutely excellent product for the money Easy to assemble and fairly well-made I would recommend it
This bed is a great buy for the money. It is not a one person job to assemble, it definitely takes 2 persons. Getting the back and side slats in is a real treat while you are trying to screw everything in place, this is what takes the most time. Instructions say 30 minutes to assemble not even close took just over 2 hours. Instructions are well written and easy to follow everything is well labeled also. Overall a great product and very sturdy.

Looks good - hard to build
It looks awesome! It was really hard to put together though and I am a builder for a living. Good luck.

I get a lot of compliments. Only downside need two people to put together.
