Be aware that this chair is comfortable but firm. Good for posture and working on a laptop but maybe not so great for sitting back and watching a movie.
The armrests are low and you may need to lean a little to rest on them. But its good if you have a side table as they dont get in the way.
Otherwise sturdy, easy to assemble and good looking. Real wood.
Overall, the chair would be a really nice buy. But ours came with a split all the way thru one of the arm supports. Since a return on an item like this is not too convenient we decided to keep and try to repair it. Took the L. It's comfortable and looks great besides the giant split in it. Hopefully the inspection on other items from the seller are more closely inspected before they put it in a box to ship.
We purchased two of these chairs and the first went together easily as all the parts were there. When the parts to assemble the other arrived it too went together well. But there is a huge crack where one leg joins the arm and I am not bothering to make a fuss as it took 10 days just to get the parts to assemble the second chair. I have been using the first chair for the last 10 days and it is sturdy and if not comfortable it is OK. It is not a chair to sink into with a book. It works as a cheap occasional chair.
I'm on the fence, because I purchased 2 chairs and one came without the hardware but my BIL matched the screws from the 2nd and was able to assemble both chairs. They are sturdy and comfortable, however both wood frames have dings and the only option I was given was to have them disassembled and pack them back up and return them. I am willing to keep them because they are the only furniture in my living room, but the dings for take away from the niceness of the furniture. My BIL was able to put them together rather quickly but he's not here to take them apart.
I really like this chair. It is sturdy, but not the most comfortable. Both cushions, bottom and back, are very firm. It is a great addition to my family room. The fabric is a tight weave and appears to be pretty durable. We don't sit in it often, but it looks great!
Very well made chair, high quality solid wood pieces. Im pretty impressed. Im also old so its not quite the comfy cozy chair I prefer but its a great chair if you suffer from back pain or have trouble getting up and down from a lower seated position. It adds a touch of modern elegance with a bit of old works style to the room. It wasnt too difficult to put together by yourself, but an extra set of hands at times wont hurt your feelings none either. Im very happy with this chair!
Its on the firm side. But looks great in my living room. Great size. Great style. Took me 30 minutes to put together. Instructions could be better so take your time. But you will happy once completed.
The arms too low, but otherwise very comfortable. I'm using it in my classroom for my novel reading chair to the classroom. I really wish the arms were higher.
