This arrived faster than expected in 4 boxes. I put it together mainly by myself but 2 people would be very helpful, especially when having to lift the twin bed on top. It does have that new painted wood smell, but it wasnt overpowering. It was easy to assemble and took me right around 5 hours. I used an 8 inch mattress on top and bottom, I would say bottom would accommodate a 10 inch mattress just fine. Everything is sturdy, and there were no cracks or boards that were messed up or chipped. I highly recommend this bunk bed, quality and great price.
Awesome bunk bed I very wearily purchased this after having to return a similar bunk bed from Walmart. I was so frustrated because none of the pieces would even fit together. This bunk bed however was a dream come true to put together. It took my fiancé and I about 3 hours to put together. The pieces were all labeled and fit perfectly. No pieces were missing or damaged. The bed looks very nice and is very sturdy! I am so happy with this purchase!

They are shipped as individual boards and must be completely assembled from scratch, which is time consuming and its helpful to have a helper. Assembly isnt complicated, just very time consuming, so be prepared. I would order these again and again because of the sturdy quality, attractive appearance, and great price.
