Great sturdy bed. The slats that go under the mattress comes off every time you go to move the mattress to change the sheet. The slats need to be screwed down.
My sister loveeed her bed! The only problem is that the instructions only had pictures not words. Also I just wished that the wood parts had letters to be a little more easier to assemble it. It took us a good 2 and half hours to assemble it. But overall shes really happy with her bed.
Overall Im really happy with this purchase. The bed is a very simple pine, but its pretty sturdy. I assembled this by myself (Im 5 feet tall/ 95 lbs), and it took about 1.5-2 hrs. The directions could have been a little more detailed, but after putting together a few items in the past I made do with these instructions. I would say that its good to also have a hammer on hand. I had to use one to get some of the pegs in, but no big deal. Also, I would recommend getting risers if you truly need under bed storage. This is a bit closer to the ground than I thought. But this is a nice, no fuss bed for the price.
Bed clearance 7 5/8 on a hard surface, will be less with carpet. Bed legs are 2 1/4 square for those likeee me who will shop for risers/furniture feet (we plan to slide a trundle under). Sheets do fall through slats underneath so maybe lay a piece of plyboard or cardboard even if it bugs you. Easy assembly, took about 45min.
This needs some sanding and a finish applied to be a real piece of furniture but for real wood this is a good value.
Had some twisting of the lumber but not enough to prevent assembly or make it wobble. Could be about an inch larger in both directions. The mattress we got is a very tight fit.
Eh?
Bought two, one ok , one a damaged mess.
The mess was obviously a return that the seller just sent out again without inspection.
The ok one is marginal at best.
These are not heirlooms.
These will wont last through grade school.
These would be great at Grandmas house to be slept on once a year.
Its SO hard to find a good bed that doesnt squeaky all the time and wont fall apart. This one is solid, easy to assemble, and wont make any noise. Ive had it for a little less than a year and I even had to move out from my old place. So I had to dissemble it and assemble back again on my new place and still solid and quiet. Totally worth it!

Finish
Needs improvement on material finish. Lacking some parts.

Basic, inexpensive, real wood.

Do not assemble before inspection of everything.

Fine
The finished product was what we wanted but putting together with the poorly labeled directions and tools was a headache
