I bought this for my 4yr old. Great product for the price. Were using her box spring and thin mattress with it. The boxspring definitely makes it a high bed. As an adult I wouldnt suggest using it with a box spring, just for aesthetics. My husband and I have both laid on it to read books with our daughter. It feels sturdy. I definitely dont feel like it buckles under our weight. Its just the right amount of fancy.
We received and set it up today and its wonderful so far! I was worried that it was intended for light use or for little kids (given that its a twin size), but its very very sturdy. My daughter is 20, about 160 lbs and it looks more than strong enough for everyday use for her. Set up is pretty straightforward too.

Instructions were confusing but I caught the rift, it look so beautiful in my daughters room. I put lantern lights around the top and she loves it! One happy 4 year old!
the packaging itself is convenient and simple. It comes in a long, thin recgular box, but is heavy enough that you SHOULD move it with two people. Amung assembly, it took me about 45 mins to complete. (Attached are my photos) im a 20 year old girl setting up my first apartment, and this bed is just great so far. All of the pieces and instructions are clear and easy to put together. Other reviews prior to my purchase were mostly for young teens but why not? Its cute, affordable, and so far sturdy and stable. It looks to last me at least 2/3 years and can be easily transported to any other move one might make. I will update on how tight the bed stays in about 1 year, (7/18) but please note that i assembled it myself so anything depends on the purchaser. 5 stars over all!
I got the bronze. A few scratches that I will try to match so it wont be so noticeable. Great instructions! Easy to put together, which I did by myself in a couple of hours. I think 2 people could get it together in less than an hour easy!
