took forever to put together2 people and 6hrs, but it could have been they werent reading the instructions and thought they could wing it, Great loft tho!
The wobbliness is the only reason I am not giving the bed 5 stars. Its not too wobbly though as I have climbed up to lay down at the top with my son for story time.
Cant say much about it except that its perfect if you have limited space but dont want to sleep in a twin size bed. As long as you are not over 510, this is more than enough bed for one person. It doesnt wobble much and doesnt make any noise when you move around. Its about five feet from the ground and it has a small footprint, so theres lots of room underneath.
I bought this bed for my 5 year old son, he was just getting too big for his race car bed and it took up too much room.
It got put together, by just me, in about an hour or so; so Id say pretty easily assembled. The hardest part was keeping my son out of the screws so I could keep putting it together.
Once we got it all together, he immediately climbed up down no less than 20 times.
At about 630 he came up from his room to tell everyone good night so that he could put his jammies on play in his bed for the rest of the night.
So far today Ive only been able to get him out of his bed with the slightly more appealing prospect of going to his Aunts house to play.
Overall if I could give this 100 stars I would.
In spite of looking a little intimidating as we carted the box up the stairs, the bed as surprisingly easy to assemble. I would advise sorting all the pieces before so you know what is where and then just starting to assemble it. Its been wonderful as the room the bed was in had barely enough space for a full size bed and large computer desk. Now there is room for everything and its possible to walk from the doorway to the closet without climbing. Just be sure you remember where you are before you leap out of bed in the morning.
Ive had bunk beds before and this bed is definitely more well/made than others. The instructions state that it takes two people to assemble but I managed on my own. The packaging was aming! There are a lot of parts at the start, but it is not difficult to assemble. I actually set this up initially in one room and then partially disassembled it ends from sides and moved it to another room. It is important to remember when assembling anything like this to not tighten all of the fasteners completely until the until is fully assembled. I do not recall that the instructions mentioned this, The only drawback I have found, which is due to my own lack of forethought, is that it isnt for a room with a ceiling fan unless it is a room large enough to set this bed up without it being within a few feet of the bed.
We needed a bed for my sons small room, one that we could put his wide dresser under to save floor space. I was worried about a very high loft bed, and this was the perfect solution. This bed feels very sturdy, strong, doesnt wobble, great quality. We got it in black. It is twin size, but my 5 year old is a small little guy, and his bed is always covered in Thomas the train engines everywhere. So, my husband built the bed, then instead of putting a twin mattress on it, we had a piece of plywood cut to the size of a twin mattress, and covered it tightly with a soft microfleece sheet. Then we put his crib mattress up there, which we still had. He sleeps on the crib mattress, since he still fits on it, and the rest of the platform is, of course covered with all his train tracks and Thomas the train engines, and an aquarium light with the fish swimming by, that he leaves on all night. He is so happy with it, he never complains about going to bed. I bought this for a small room and have a large dresser under, quite wide, and 35 tall. I just pulled the dresser flush to the front. I put a big tote box behind the dresser, and I store less used toys in it. To one side of the dresser I put a bean bag chair, and have my childs TV near the bed. He loves sitting in the bean bag in his little hideaway cave reading books or watching TV I loved this bed, it was a great purchase because it is not so high that I worry about him. It is just the right height for me to be able to tuck him in, he is right at my eye level, standing up.
We recently moved into a small apartment and were looking to maximize our space. We wanted a loft bed for our daughter, but the lower ceilings in our apartment made most of the available loft beds to high. Only has about 3 feet of clearance but its perfect for book shelves and other storage. The construction is good for a childrens bed, and would probably hold up for an average to small adult. The only negative is that the instruction are not very well written. There were even mistakes, but you could work past them if you thought about where each part you where putting together went in the big picture.
