Great customer service As mentioned in most reviews here, its not super easy to put together, but Im a woman, late 50s, and I put it together just fine. A little patience is called for, and yes, I read the instructions (a bit hastily, but I read them). Once put together, its a nice piece of furniture and is perfect in my guestroom. I expect not to have to purchase a new guest room bed for the rest of my life, this one is not likely to fall apart anytime in the near future.
Great Seller Customer Service! I havent used it much so I cant comment on durability. I just got it built. Im a 410 65 year old woman and I was able to build it myself. So dont despair. But it does take patience.
A few tips:
1. Count everything first.
2. Label the parts with larger labels. They are labeled but the labels are small and will drive you crazy
3. I have a headlamp which is wonderful for many reasons but REALLY handy when assembling
4. When you are assembling components with slats youll wonder why the hell they didnt make them more snug. The styrofoam doesnt help. As soon as you get the component together (such as G, H, I) wrap a bungee around it and TAPE it. (Dont wrap under H or you wont be able to get the tape out when you put it with N). Really the slats are the biggest PITA.
5. Make sure N fits in the grooves of O and H. My N was warped and I burned a lot of time trying to make it fit. N doesnt really need to fit into the grooves of A or L (or B or M) but it does have to fit into O and H.
6. Customer service answered right away and sent a new part but it took over a week to get to CA
7. You will need a phillips screwdriver but I did it without a power drill and it was fine.
8. For the love of all that is holy, dont lose the hex key.
looks great, husband put it together fairly quickly and it sits nicely in the guest bedroom. stickers are a little hard to get off but other than that no real issues with assembly.
Its worth every penny. Smart buy. Good product, lots of people seem to have had insane difficulty putting it together which I dont really understand. If you know how to use gravity and a floor then it shouldnt be hard at all. You honestly dont even need the foam inserts to keep the wooden pieces stable but Id I digress. Its not the difficulty of putting it together but rather the absurd 225 lb max weight limit that is ridiculous. The point of a daybed is that you should be able to use it as a comfortable place to gather when not being used for sleeping. Almost invariably multiple people will be on it at the same time. The wooden slats are in theory meant to be an integral part of the construction of the bed although it seems pretty stable without them. I am going to take some measurements this weekend and see if its possible for me to support the frame with a low profile metal bare bed frame. Hopefully I can make it work so I dont worry about it breaking apart during my jumping jacks routine.
Glad I read the reviews, so I was prepared with clamps, painters tape, and a variety of other tools to get the job done. Putting the bed together was a challenge, but I did it successfully by myself in under 4 hours. Im glad I did not build it with my husbands assistance, as It would have surely irreparably damaged our marriage...better I curse at myself than him LOL.
Once built, the bed is BEAUTIFUL, and my parents (a combined 300ish pounds) reported it was quite comfortable and sturdy. I purchased a hybrid metal spring/memory foam mattress from to go with it, and no additional board was needed to support the mattress, the slats the bed comes with were sufficient. It is tall enough to have a roll away trundle underneath.
Happy with my purchase...but would not ever want to set it up again :)
We absolutely love this!!!! I love the gorgeous bed. My son assembled it and told me it holds up to 250lbs. I purchased for guests so maybe Ill put a scale alongside.

Pretty but weak. 225 POUND WEIGHT LIMIT?
