    Nice bed, a few issues

First off, the item shipped very quickly and we were very excited to get it put together. Went fairly quickly, except we were missing 1 of the hardware pieces. Also, the finish really had a strong smell (we have had it for 2 weeks, and it has disappeared now). The bed was a great price, looks very nice, and seems to be pretty sturdy. My only main complaint, the side board finish has already started chipping off!! I called and they very easily are sending a new sideboard, although Im concerned how it will hold up over time. But so far, it is worth the money.

    pretty bed

I bought this for my 5 year old daughter after her old bed broke. She will be sharing a room when my youngest moves out of her crib. It is the perfect height for her, tall enough to be fun, but not so tall that its scary, and she has plenty of headroom to sit up and crawl around. An 8 inch mattress fit well with plenty of room to tuck in bedding and still have enough height on the top bunk railings. The bed is very for this price point, and looks nice. It ships in two separate large boxes, is heavy, and takes up a good bit of room when unassembled. It took us about 4 hours to assemble, as some of the pieces were mislabeled and we mixed up pieces from the top and bottom beds. I would recommend laying them out prior to assembly and checking the labeling so you dont have to take it apart to re/assemble. Some of the screw holes werent drilled correctly and we had to re/drill them. Overall its a great bed for the price. The problems were minor, and easily fixed. Edited to add: We separated the beds this July because the ladder was starting to pull out of the beds after 3 1/2 years of being played on by my two kids and their friends. The beds were both in good condition until a couple weeks ago. My 9 yo and two of her friends were jumping on her bed and broke the frame. We got our moneys worth. We knew they werent going to hold up like beds, but it we were looking at 800/1500 for those.

    Poor Quality

You get what you pay for applies to the bunk bed. The frame is ok but the mattress supports are poor. Made of used ply of unknown origin (Vietnam? China?) the slats are roughly cut, full of large splinters, staples and old paint. I spent hours refinishing every slat to make sure our kids wouldnt get hurt. When assembled the slats bowed under the weight of a mattress with one child. I added a 1/2 ply sheet to each bed for mattress support.

Items missing and too hard to assemble

This bunkbed came in one box with several, several pieces of the headboard missing along with other items. does not have a customer service phone number to call and ask if they could just ship these itiems so I requested to return it along with emailing them a complaint about the missing items. I scheduled a return pick up for UPS to pick up the box, and had it on my front porch for 3 days. UPS put a missed pick up label on my door 3 times as they walked right past the box and did not pick it up. Next thing I know I have 3 more boxes waiting for me at my Apartment office. It seems they sent me the missing parts but failed to tell me so! I had to just guess on what was going on. I am returning everything and will only shop here for things I cannot find other wise . com is not easy to use and offers no customer service!!!! There was SO many pieces to assemble it would have taken me days to get it done!!!! WAY TOO many peices!!

    Instructions are confusing

Pieces were labeled wrong so when my husband first put it together, it was wrong and he had to take the whole thing apart and do it again. The stickers on the pieces are hard to get off and leave sticky substance on the bed or scratch off the paint when trying to remove them.

Nuts and Bolts Do Not Fit

Although the bed is once you finally put it together, putting it together is a disaster. Approximately four of the long bolt/nut combos stripped. I had to go to Home Depot and find replacements. The other option which I also did was use a washer even though this meant the bolt was not flush as designed. Additionally, none of the nuts on the small bolt/nut combo actually sunk far enough into the bed railing so you could screw the bolt in. I literally had to drill all the way through the side of eight holes to make this finally work. So basically the bed is now a hodgepodge of parts, holes, and fittings. This is completely ridiculous and ends up wasting countless hours trying to sort it all out. Just not worth it. Someone from should put together one of their own beds. Might highlight some glaring issues with what could be a 4/5 star bed for the price.

    Nice beds for younger children

Nice, reasonably priced bunk beds that were fairly easy to assemble. The height of the bed combo is a bit shorter, so is a safer for little ones. This was a gift for my 5 year old granddaughter, and she loves the set. It would be nice if the ladder could be removed (it is permanently attached.)

Good/looking bed, just a tad wobbly

Bought this for two of my kids, ages 7 and 5. They love it, and its a pretty good/looking piece of furniture when put together. When we got it from , the assembly instructions were missing, which is not a good thing for a bed this complex to assemble. Fortunately, a quick call to the manufacturer sorted that out and they emailed us a PDF of the manual right away. Pros: / attractive look / slats are good and sturdy // much more so than other beds weve owned/seen / Manufacturer is nice to work with if theres a problem Cons: / Its no easy task to assemble, took my wife and I about 4 hours. You have to pay VERY CLOSE ATTENTION to what youre doing, because some pieces have very subtle/yet/important differences (e.g., one extra hole drilled in it) and none of them are labeled. I had to disassemble after about 20 minutes in because I missed one of these subtle clues. / We had trouble with a screw popping out of the front top railing. Had to glue it in eventually. / Once assembled, its a bit wobbly. Not wobbly enough that I feel my kids are in danger, but it doesnt exactly feel like the kind of rock/ piece youd ideally want for a bunk. You wont be having uncle Hal borrowing the top bunk when he comes for Thanksgiving // this is a kids/only bed. Thicker main posts and some more robust means of hooking them together would go a long way to improving my confidence in the structure.
