From unboxing to assembly this took me 2.5 hours by myself. I would have finished sooner if I didn’t have to install an extra set of slats. I used a power drill with a screw bit and a hex bit. Couldn’t find my mallot so I just used the back of my drill
I just happened to have an extra set of slats to use on the bottom. I used the two sets of slats that came with this for the top because they are just way too far apart. So that was time consuming.
Stairs could use some type of rubber grip on the bottom.
Im very happy with it. Didn’t have a smell like others.
This bed is sturdy and beautiful! It works perfectly. The only thing that Im bummed about is that it has a beam running along the underside of the top bunk that my daughter has now hit her head on several times. Im going to have to figure out how to cover it up with foam or something. I kind of wish this company offered something to help with this. Other than that my husband set this up in maybe 1.5-2 hours pretty easily by himself (I helped hold something in place one time). My daughter adores this bed and Im very happy with it.
perfect bed for my 4 and 1 y/o . in love w the wood color and the low height . the slide is a little steep but the kids love the thrill . the bed was sturdy enough to hold me on the top without shaking
I love this bunk bed! I put my 1 and 3 year old in it and I like that it’s not too high for the older one on top and that the younger one has no problem getting in and out of the bottom bunk. The bottom mattress also doesn’t sit on the floor, which I wanted and had a hard time finding. Took my husband about 1.5 hours to put together with me helping a Little bit but mostly I was trying to keep the kids off of it before it was done. We put a 10” mattress on top because we already had that size and it still has enough room between the mattress and the top of the rail that my kid will not roll off. We put an 8” mattress on bottom. The 8” bottom mattress allows for me to sit comfortably on the bottom bunk without bumping my head (I am 5’1”). Only con was that it took several days (maybe even a bit over a week, but I can’t remember) to get the spray paint smell out of it. We had to keep the bedroom door open to keep the smell from being overwhelming in the room. Since we didn’t smell it right out of the box I had it all set up before I realized this or else I would have let it air out on the covered porch for a week to prevent having the smell in the bedroom for so long. Highly recommend to all my friends with kids and one of them even winded up buying one after seeing it at a play date!
Great bed with decent instructions. Since my husband and I usually are at each other’s throats when we do any kind of build project together, I’ll take this as a win. It took us about 3 hours with one break—I think it would be difficult to set up alone. I love that it’s much lower to the ground than other bunk beds. I’m 5’2 for reference and the top bunk is shoulder height for me. My kids are having a blast with it. I do wish the railing was higher—we bought good quality 8 inch mattresses. To make up for the height, I bought an additional railing that I’ll put up when it arrives later this week for some added security. We also added curtains to the lower level so my little guy felt like his bed was special too. Overall, great purchase and looking forward to many happy nights.
Genuinely easier to assemble than any Ikea furniture Ive ever done. It is fairly important to have an extra person on hand for something this size though.
I am very happy with the bunk bed. I ordered and received a white one. Everything was in the packages and was delivered in good condition. Wood pieces were all in tact, no funky smells, no damages or discoloration. I was able to put it together by myself, but would have been better to wait for my husband to hold up pieces. Took me about 2 hours to put together. My daughter loves it and there is enough room on the bottom bunk to play if you get a thinner mattress as recommended by manufacture.
