My girls still share a room (ages 2 4) and my eldest needed a bigger bed (was in a toddler bed, she is 90th percentile for height). They both wanted a bunk bed and here we are.
This bunk bed is excellent quality, is sturdy and we love the paint finish (navy blue). It took my husband and I approximately 5 hrs to put together. TBH, it probably would have taken less time to put together if it wasnt late on a Friday after a busy week (I.e. exhausted parents)
The low profile works excellent- my 2 year old has a easy time getting in and out, and slept through the night. Her feedback this AM is she is happy and it was comfy. There is enough space between bunks that I can sit up on the lower bunk (I am 55). My 4 year old isnt intimidated by the height and took a little time getting used to climbing up and down (to be expected). She is very happy now and loves her bed.
All in all, so far so good!
Overall this bed is a well engineered bed, seems to be perfectly fine for a small child however I would not recommend getting anywhere close to weight. Legs are smaller than 2x4 and held together with m6 bolts (2 per leg). You will get a bag of bolts, screws and dowels. Screws, bolts, washers are all different sizes and nothing is labelled whatsoever. The majority of the time putting together will be sorting the hardware box. They bothered to assign part numbers to the various screws and bolts but they mean nothing, as once again, nothing is labelled. One of the bottom bracing boards was cracked down the middle that was part of the staircase so I had to make my own due to once wooden dowel was slid in, it split right in half. Other than these factors overall it was a decent frame. At this price point one could expect some hardware to be labelled instead of thrown loosely in a bag.
Seemed great when first assembled, but now its a few months later. Im sure this bed is fine for gentle kids, but if your kids run and jump and hang and swing, this bed starts coming apart. My 4-year-old and 6-year-old (girls) bent the ladder hangers immediately and now the whole thing is starting to get wobbly. Might be ok for occasional guests but doesnt last too long with real kids.
Ive was looking at loft beds for weeks to gift to my daughter for her third birthday. When I found this I was very happy. It was a reasonable price point and had great reviews. It came on time and we put it together last night. I love the look and how much room my daughter has in her room now. She loves it too! She hugged and thanked my husband a million times for putting it together. My only complaint is is that though it seems very sturdy is that it already has a crack in the wood and only my small three year old has been on it. I didnt notice it last night but if you have a larger child it probably would not be a good fit for you.
It took my husband and I about 4 hours to put it together using just 1 screwdriver. It was pretty easy. The instructions were simple just tedious. We are not builders, but we did it! The boys love it! This was just as described. My 3 and 6 year old loves it! Everything was numbered and so far, so good! My boys are so attached to me that they slept with us every night. This bunk bed broke that habit.
Mine is the stairs model, no ladder.
Ok, lets start with UPS will not deliver your bed! Its heavy and requires two people to lift and they dont send two drivers out in the same truck.
Now assembling, no words just pictures for instructions. Sometimes the pictures start one way and then they flip it as to confuse you of what your looking at! Awful instructions, many little parts left over and took me about 4 hours of back breaking frustration!
Sturdiness, its pretty well built and sturdy but I feel just four legs standing like stilts could have been better somehow, maybe some support around the bottom. Sturdy but not as sturdy as it could be.
Love the stairs rather than a ladder! So much more style.
Value, so so, its solid, heavy but between UPS, bad instructions and could be sturdier the value may or may not be there for you.
Package delivered in perfect condition. Very well packed. Love the extra height underneath. Love the ease of swapping ladder and slide sides. Very well made.
Pretty easy to assemble, took a couple of hours. Looks great! I gave it 4 stars only because there is no great way to unassemble the bed if you ever needed to move it. You pretty much have to take the whole thing apart and reassemble.
Shipped fast, all parts were included and nothing was missing.
We have a smaller bedroom with standard height ceilings and it looks great, it doesnt overtake the room like a taller bunk would.

Overall good frame but has its flaws
