the smell went away pretty quickly- and a little Febreeze helped it along

definitely needs 2 people to put it together! the smell went away pretty quickly- and a little Febreeze helped it along. Pillows are lovely and its just the right length- just not as deep as i was expecting. It is a little stiffer than i had hoped- hopefully the cushions will get a little more comfy with wear...

Fabulous for the price! Assembles easily if you do not overthink it.

Updating because Ive had this couch for a year and it is still holding up and looking/feeling great. For the price, I still think its a great deal! This loveseat is great for a little apartment. Im just starting out in a new city and I needed some kind of couch for my living room (with the thoughts that Ill get a real sofa later and use this one in another room). This came packed in a large box, weighed about 90 pounds and UPS wouldnt deliver it to my apartment unless someone was home to receive it---so I missed the first delivery attempt. Keep that in mind when you order. The packing of this sofa in the box is ingenious. The box was too large to get into my front door, but the pieces were very easy to move one by one, so it didnt take too long to get it all inside. My first tip for instructions would be not to overthink things. The manufacturer mislabeled the L and R sides, and after a few frustrating minutes, I just looked at it like a couch, ignored the stickers and put it together the way it should look. From there on, the assembly was VERY easy. There are 5 screw bolts holding it together and the cushions fit easily into the cushion covers. The bottom cushions were vacuum packed! Im 55 and its the right size for me to stretch out on (with my feet dangling) but its also VERY comfy to sit on. This surprised me, and thats why I wanted to write a review. The Marzipan color is slightly darker than the 1st picture but a lot lighter than the other pictures. Thats why I included a photo. The smell is not bad at all, just a new furniture smell and it just needs a day or so to air out all the way. Four stars because of the mislabeled sides that absolutely drove me crazy for a minute, but this is a really wonderful couch for 250 dollars!!!

Not the most comfortable, rear cushions are a bit too thick and tend to move around a lot, but for the price and convenience its worth it.

    Couch-In-A-Box Time Lapse

We purchased this couch January 2016. It is the perfect couch for a small place or apartment. Put together a fun time lapse video of the assembly. Love that it is so easy to work with! Enjoy!

    Nice little apartment sofa

Nice little apartment sofa. Not too hard to put together (though not as easy as some of the reviews make it sound). Id give it a B- for comfort and quality.

    78 rye brown sofa

Had this sofa for a week, we love it! It was easy to put together; I did it alone. However, the instructions are apparently from an older model, the difference being the middle feet. Dont worry, once you take a look at the bottom youll see that you just screw the middle feet in the same as the side feet. The sofa is firm but comfortably so. The back cushions are overstuffed and will probably need fluffing every couple weeks or so. According to the manufacturer, each seat cushion can support up to 250lbs. They also recommend re-tightening the screws every couple of months. I had no problem with mold or anything like a previous reviewer. It was all clean and in new condition. The brown color is nice and rich, the fabric feels somewhere between velvet and a sort of fine-grain corduroy. Very pleased. Update: Well its been four months and I wanted to give a little update. After daily use the cushions started to get a little lumpy and misshapen, so I just ran the covers through the washer for the first time, on cold and gentle dry cycle and the sofa is back to looking (and feeling) like new. The instructions recommend tightening the handscrews every so often (I think it said 90 days) so make sure you do. After 90 days it was starting to creak and the handscrews had loosened quite a bit. Still very happy. Im not sure if this will last years and years, I just want it to get me through the toddler and preschool ages. Very nice sofa, cant believe how inexpensive it was.

    Good Value!

This couch works perfectly for our playroom space. It came with two pillows that we arent using. My husband is over 6ft tall and doesnt fit on the couch comfortably. Its rather low to the ground, but great for kids and those who are petite (54 and below). The only negative is that we couldnt place it against a wall. Ive included a photo of the backside. This is not a fancy couch and the material is velcroed on. If you pull it taut, it blends in quite well.

    Chocolate beauty!

I would have given this 5 stars but we had to wait past the promised date to receive it. However, when it arrived, it was beautiful. The fabric was rich looking and the cushions were firm and comfortable.
